| 947. | Bubblehead Road | ||
|
A secluded street in unincorporated north St. Louis county, official name is Carrico Road.
Urban legend states something to the effect that years ago, people settled near the end of the road. Through years of inbreeding, the descendants of the original settlers developed hydrocephaly, or "Water on the Brain," which caused their heads to be oversized, hence the term "bubblehead." This is a relatively famous urban legend in NoCo St. Louis, with many residents convinced of some truth behind it. Indeed, when you drive to the end of the road there and several "No Tresspassing" signs. I mean, A LOT of signs. I've heard of many people getting chased off at night by unseen figures in the woods. Mainly, it was just fun to take chicks down there and tease them about the Bubbleheads. Bubblehead Road is one of the creepiest places I've ever been.

| 948. | trestling | ||
|
A recreational pastime involving drug-induced positioning of one's body directly underneath the rail supports of a railroad trestle, exactly timed to coincide with the passing of a freight train overhead.
more...
The resulting effect is that of experiencing a passing freight train from a position a foot or two beneath the rails upon which the train passes. The resulting vibration and noise is traditionally enjoyed during night-time while under the effect of psychodelic mushrooms or other hallucinogen. As the train approaches, the increasing noise and vibration, coinciding with the shifting headlights and roar of the train whistle adds to the effect. Other variants include hanging by the hands from individual railroad ties while the train passes. Originated by students of Texas State University, formerly Southwest Texas State University, of San Marcos Texas, using a railroad trestle approximately five miles north of town on the road to Five Mile Dam. |

| 949. | The Coolness | ||
|
None other than the absolute cool. An (at the time) original, descriptive term. During the years of Ultima Online's prime, an MMORPG developed by OSI (Origin Systems Inc - though later taken over by EA), there was a player by the name of "the Sickness".
more...
This character caused great distress to many people, so in response, the great Boba Fett/Magneto/Seifer/GM Cool Guy along with Spymaster, Ad Avis, Ice Trey and Mad Monk decided it was about time to fix his little red wagon. Thus, The Coolness was made in a satiric attempt to poke fun at "The Sickness" and his brother "The Illness". This was, of course, before "coolness" was even a viable word for internet or real life usage. Years down the road I hear it all of the time. It caught on very quick. While I don't think I can claim origination of the word, I can definitely say I spread it to a large portion of people on Lake Superior. Especially that wonderful, Y-Wing shaped town of Moonglow. :-) |

| 950. | CURB YOUR DOG | ||
|
A campaign started a few years back by a rogue organization that is currently viewed as PETA's worst enemy. The organization is known for placing 'PLEASE CURB YOUR DOG' signs all over the world, urging people to smash their dogs into the curbstone at the side of the road.
Apparently, the people in this organization are very bitter about the vast amount of dogshit covering the lands, and their solution is to eliminate dogs entirely. Jimmy's dog was taking a dump right at the entrance to the park. He saw the sign on the fence: PLEASE CURB YOUR DOG.
Jimmy got the message. He was sick of all of his dog's crap. He picked Fido up by his tail and once and for all broke his bark on the corner of the cold concrete curb. |

| 951. | Peru | ||
|
The most beautiful country in South America, and one of the nicest in the world. The country is divided in three regions: The pacific coast, where you can find the nicest district beaches in the short south of Lima (from 40 Km. south), we got districts beaches called Punta Hermosa(where the best surf female performer in the world Sofia Mulanovich raised) , San Bartolo, Santa María, Asia, Cerro Azul (130 Km) , etc. We got big waves, a californian beaches live style, the most delicious seafood in the world (mariscos), nice clubs, nice camping spaces right at the oceanfront with no restrictions, etc. In the far north from Lima (540 Km.) you'll find Huanchaco, Pimentel (700km.), Mancora(1000Km.), Cabo Blanco (1200km) where you'll find nice resorts, nice food at the oceanfront, and you just can go camping and drinking with your bodies. Then you go 100 km. east from Lima and from the begining of the road you gonna start climbing up and seeing a lot of huge mountains and at the 90 Km. of the central road from Lima you gonna start seeing snowpeak mountains. That region is called the "Sierra"(Highlands). You can go either north or south, you'll find dozens of cities and towns rounded by snowpeak huge mountains (that's 10000 feet above sea level), beautiful landscapes (just like the ones you see in switzerland, but we got 12 switzerlands in there), the weather is cold (the highest you go the colder it gets), sunny, and by 60 F- 70 F degrees in some places, and that's where most of... more...

| 952. | gang stalking | ||
|
1. What is gang stalking
Gang stalking is simply a form of community mobbing and organised stalking combined. Just like you have workplace mobbing, and online mobbing, which are both fully recognised as legitimate, this is the community form. Gang stalking is organised harassment at it's best. It the targeting of an individual for revenge, jealousy, sport, or to keep them quite, etc.
more...
It's organised, widespread, and growing. Some describe this form of harassment as, "A psychological attack that can completely destroy a persons life, while leaving little or no evidence to incriminate the perpetrators." 2. Who gets targeted The people getting targeted seem to be (single) woman, minorities, outspoken individuals, whistle blowers, dissidents, people who have gone against large corporations, etc. 3. Goals of this hate campaign. The goal is to sensitize the target to a stimuli, isolate the target, make them destitute. The secondary goals seem to be to make the target homeless, jobless, give them a breakdown, and the primary goals seems to be to drive the target to suicide. 4. Who gang stalks. The surprising thing is that gang stalkers can be found in every level of society. There is no real age barrier, gender barrier, and a variety of races do participate. In almost every occupation in society you can find people who are going along with this. Gang stalking for many is seen as a game, a sport to be played with another individuals life. Many do not understand or care that the end consequence of this game is to destroy a person. 5. Why they gang stalk. "It is conceivable that the participants in the harassment don't even know why the person has been targeted, nor would most of these i... |
