Another term for the city Nashville, TN oftentimes used by author and sports columnist Hunter S. Thompson. It refers to what the Yankees called Nashville in the Civil War era, when Nashville was apparently the "Syphilis Capital of the World." Hunter S. Thompson writes, "Nashville is a river town with a long and sleazy history. It was a capital of commerce before the Civil War, when it became a vicious war zone and a swollen mecca for gamblers and prostitutes. The population doubled during The War, and most of the newcomers had Syphilis."
Rob: I think I'm going to Nashville to get a record deal.
Jim: Okay, man, but be careful. It's the City of 10,000 Whores.
Used when you happen upon a particularly beautiful woman, and then skillfully using the 1-10 scale as a rating - you twist it into a different type of ending - with the meaning that you would like to fuck this woman.
Me - 'Oooh, u see that?'
U - 'Uh huh, thats real nice!'
Me - 'Rating?'
U - ' Out of 10? ... I'd give her ONE!!'
