Sexual objectification is the process of representing or treating a person like a sex object, one that serves another’s sexual pleasure.

An example of postmortem objectification is when grave robbery laws treat deceased people as property instead of people, which can be inferred from language used in the laws and whether the penalty for committing the crime is more similar to that area’s laws about abduction or theft.
