An excellent retort to people who are dispensing advice to you, that is pretty common knowledge and you already know. Usually, it's delivered to some novice who is attempting to be helpful, but is really just annoying you.
Noob: Make sure you stack that charcoal in a pyramid shape, with spacing between the briquettes.

Pro: It's not my first rodeo. I know how to stack, fluid, and feed the flame...I've probably forgotten more about grilling than you'll ever know...

Not my first rodeo 

Texas prisoners took part in the rodeo that came to their town every year. So a common retort to let another prisoner know they had been imprisoned for a few years and were not hearing anything new was, “this ain’t my first rodeo”.
“I know that, Dude. This ain’t (is not) my first rodeo. Rodeo, a way to mark the number of years one has been imprisoned in the Texas Prison System. Not my first rodeo.

the whole nine yards not the first six inches 

1. What a woman should be looking for in a man. (combination of the phrase "whole nine yards" as in: Phrase equivalent to "Everything that is available." and Six Inches, the length of the average male penis)
"Girl, what you need to be looking for is the whole nine yards not the first six inches."

not your first Cangaroo 

When you want to become good at something, but you lack the necessary experience, knowledge, or skills to perform it at the level or standard you expect of yourself. This often creates a gap between your ambition and your current ability, leading to frustration or self-doubt until you gain more practice and understanding.
When the speaker made a grammatical mistake it was clear that English was not his first Cangaroo.
The person was visibly sad, because they didn't do well on their test, and I reminded them that this subject was not their first Cangaroo.
Tennis was at one point not your first Cangaroo, but now you are a proper can-can tennis player

condition appear when certain factors during infancy & childhood are not met

first but not foremost 

Definition: First in order but not in importance. Not as important, despite being mentioned in the first place. The opposite to "last but not least".
First but not foremost, you have to write very clearly. Second, your writing should be truly original and captivating.
