northern manhattan isn't defined yet, but these are close:
1. NoWa
a New York City neighborhood in Upper Manhattan, at the NORTH end of WASHINGTON HEIGHTS.
"Gypsy cabs and the A train is the only way we roll up in NoWa."
2. virginia run
Virginia Run is a suburb located on the outskirts of Centreville VA next to a farm and a rock quarry. Virginia Run is where white people live to get away from the blacks and many illegal immigrants who also live in Centreville.

The area is a typical tract housing suburban development. Some of Virginia Runs houses are typical 3-4 bedroom tract houses, and some are typical McMansion developments. Residents of Virginia Run are proud of their McMansions with 7 bedrooms for their 2.4 kids and their 3-4 car garages with their 2-3 cars. They are also proud of their lawns which constitute a ¼ acre plot of land mostly filled with the sprawling monstrosity of a house with a surrounding 1 foot wide border of grass constituting the yard.

The houses were built with square footage and large looking appearance being the prime factors not quality or style. All the houses exhibit the typical mass produced “cookie cutter” corner cutting methods: only 3-4 different styles of houses that repeat every 3-4 houses, brick front treatment but vinyl siding on the sides and back, window shutters only on the fronts with bare frames on the back and sides.

Residents are almost all extremely bourgeoisie and kitschy. Their McMansions are filled with Country Americana décor from gingham seat covers, couches, and table cloths to paintings on saw blades to tacky wallpaper to frilly wooden dolls to Thomas Kinkade paintings, flanked by 60” TV sets and surround sound systems. The epitome of classless ...

3. Hella
The word "Hella" actually is known within California as being a "Northern" California term. Gwen Stefani used it in her song "Hella Good" as a tongue in cheek ode to her Northern Californian friends who would say it alot.

Used to overexaggerate adjectives in place of "really", "very". Also used to convey large numbers.
The food was really good. = The food was "hella" good.

There was alot of people there. = There were "hella" people there.
4. Tarrytown
A town located in Southern Westchester County. Home of Washington Irving and the Legend of Sleepy Hollow. Though surrounded by some wealthy neighborhoods, Tarrytown and Sleepy Hollow have more in common with the bigger cities of Westchester such as Yonkers, Mount Vernon, New Rochelle and White Plains. Cortlandt Street in Sleepy Hollow is equivalent to Warburton Avenue in Yonkers and other similar areas that you may find in the Bronx and Brooklyn. At it's closest point, Tarrytown is 10 minutes from Yonkers and about 16 minutes from the Bronx. To put it simply, it would take someone from Coney Island or Nassau County the same amount of time, if not longer to get to the heart of Manhattan.

Though located in a notoriously suburan county, the neighborhoods of Tarrytown and Sleepy Hollow are actually the last urban areas you'll see in lower New York until you reach Albany. Sleepy Hollow is just under the upstate border and rightfully so, considering it has nothing in common with the Northern portion of Westchester. In fact, Lower Westchester has more in common with the Bronx then it does with it's upper half. Let's not forget the Bronx used to be part of Westchester County in the early days.
Tarrytown and Sleepy Hollow are part of the county that SHOULD be the 5th borough of New York City. Take Southern Westchester and Northern Staten Island, throw 'em together and you got the illest 5th borough ever!
5. murray hill
Neighborhood in mid-town NYC, on the east-side in the 30s near the Emprie State Bldg. Named for a hill that used to stand on the Murray's farm, way back when the northern boundary of NYC was Wall Street. The hill has long-since been bulldozed and cemented over.
"Dahling, walking with you is soooo grand in Murray Hill."
6. CPN
The street in Manhattan known as Central Park North, the northern boundary of Central Park near southern Harlem.
That apartment is on CPN and it's got a great view of the park!
7. Ho-Ho-Kus
A small upper-class town in bergen county, new jersey full of rich, white folks with lots of class and keep their money to themselves. The property tax is very high so if you can't afford it then you probably chose Allendale to live in. It's a great place to raise kids and there is a 99% chance they will be decked out in preppy designer clothing. Teens attend Northern Highlands Regional High School which everyone knows is considered to be the "Ritz Carlton of High Schools." Girls get their first designer bags in about 4th grade and have daddy pre order their bmw's and mercedes before they even get their license. HHK people socialize with their equals, a.k.a. saddle river, upper saddle river, and allendale. The dad's take the train to "the city" (manhattan) while the mom's stay at home, raise the kids, and spoil them to death. House parties are better than any club and are flooded with underage drinking but the cops never bust in. The schools have outstanding rating and the high school is home to the prettiest girls on the north east coast. Kids from this high school (northern highlands) can get into any ivy league school with ease, so if you want your kids to have a bright future, please raise them in Ho-Ho-Kus.
Look at that rich bitch, she must be from Ho-Ho-Kus.
