So-called music which is either someone talking (they call it rapping) about how they busted a cap in their wife's head over less than 7 seconds of unique sequences of tones (usually bass), or music where an electric guitar is strummed at 100% total harmonic distortion and someone screams worshipping praise to Satan but you can't understand them and it sounds like they are trying to throw up.
Most of what the radio plays these days is non-music. There is no melody.
A type of music that surpasses all others because it doesn't involve computer generated beats and even more shockingly, no lyrics about bustin' a whitey's ass with lead!more...
Rap has no true emotion behind it. True composers like Gustav Mahler and Dmitri Shostakovich were intelligent and put real emotion into their music. Rap doesn't have any feeling so it makes you think of nothing while you are listening to it. Classical does contain lyrics in the case of Opera and Church music and if you don’t understand the language, that’s YOUR fault!
The majority of listeners are intelligent people who refuse to listen to Rap because of how bad it sounds. Classical music is still being composed today and has never been better. Some modern composers are Leondard Bernstein and John Rutter.
Everybody knows that Rappers got famous because the majority of moron Americans would rather listen to “Come and lick my lollipop, you ho!” rather than listen to true beautiful emotion classical music.
Anyone can rap:
1: Think of some horrible lyrics about violence, drugs, rape, and misogyny
2: Repeat step 1 six times
3: Invite 5 of ya gang around
4: Give them a microphone and and a synthesizer
5: Give each person a different sheet with random notes
6: Record the result
7: Get some dumbass MTV person to broadcast your shit.
Most movies these days only use classical m...
A new, very boring type of hip hop. Some ppl might say that it is related to crunk music but it isnt. Crunk music is high energy and wild, snap music is the exact opposite. Snap music is boring. Everyone in the club is doing the same thing. How gay. Southern rap is suppose to be high energy but the ATL wants to change all that and bring in boring ass snap music. O well, ATL can snap & lean all they want but Memphis is still gon keep it crunk!
Person: The club was too crunk last night!
Other person: No it wasnt, everyone was just snapping there fingers. I could go to a poetry place and see that.
Snap music is the end of Southern rap as we know it!
A simplistic form of "music", involving the extremely basic drum beats (which are sampled, so really all you do is press a button). Features pathetic basslines and sampled keyboard pieces, with the occasional scratching disc. The focus of this style of "music" is actually the lyrics, apparently, because there is no actual talent involved in the rythmn section. The "music" sets out to make the "rapper" rap his words fast, which makes the words indistinguishable and they lose all meaning, most people have to actually read the lyrics to even grasp the meaning of the song at all.
:Rapper: My music is poetry!
:Musician: Then be a freaking poet and stop ruining the music industry with your lame excuse for "music". At least VARY your beats and add some SLIGHT complexity to your music. Do something original.
A really really bad band. Non Point aka pointless
I went to a non point concert, everyone was wearing jenkos and wearing black eyeliner.
Electronic music is a term for music created using electronic devices. This genre of music is loosely referred to as techno. While this is incorrect, techno IS one of the many genre's of electronic music, also known as EDM, electronic dance music. While some consider electronic music to be nerd music, many would be shocked to learn that their beloved hip-hop is actually electronic music, made with computers, synthesizers, and drum machines. While the basis of techno and hip-hop are the same, EDM is a mindblowing musical masterpiece, can sometime sound like a classical symphony with a hard-hitting bassline. Music made a break-through in the 70's with synthesizers, which started a new movement in music. With these synthesizers and digital machines, the way was paved for electronic music. Electronic music, especially in the late 1990s fractured into many genres, styles and sub-styles, too many to list here. Probably one of the most popular forms of EDM is house music. 'Techno' remixes of your favorite pop song, are usually house music. Styles that are primarily intended for dance such as disco, techno, house, trance, electro, breaks, jungle, drum and bass. Others, such as IDM, glitch and trip-hop, are more experimental and tend to be associated more with listening than dancing. Since around the mid-1980s, electronic dance music has enjoyed popularity in many nightclubs, and, as of 2006, is the predominant type of music played in discothèques as well as the rave ...more...
|7.||Hip Hop Music|
Hip hop music, also referred to as rap or rap music, is a style of popular music which came into existence in the United States during the mid-1970s, and became a large part of modern pop culture during the 1980s. It consists of two main components: rapping (MCing) and DJing (audio mixing and scratching). Along with hip hop dance (notably breakdancing) and urban inspired art, or notably graffiti, these compose the four elements of hip hop, a cultural movement that was initiated by inner-city youth, mostly African Americans in New York City, in the early 1970s.more...
Typically, hip hop music consists of intensely rhythmic lyrical form making abundant use of techniques like assonance, alliteration, and rhyme. The rapper is accompanied by an instrumental track, usually referred to as a "beat", performed by a DJ, created by a producer, or one or more instrumentalists. This beat is often created using a sample of the percussion break of another song, usually a funk or soul recording. In addition to the beat other sounds are often sampled, synthesized, or performed. Sometimes a track can be instrumental, as a showcase of the skills of the DJ or producer.
Hip hop began in The Bronx, located in New York City, when DJs began isolating the percussion break from funk and disco songs. The early role of the MC was to introduce the DJ and the music and to keep the audience excited. MCs began by speaking between songs, giving exhortations to dance, greetings to audience members, jokes an...
