A phrase used in conversation to offset an insult of an absent third party. The phrase is often used as a passive-aggressive way to distance oneself from the insult that follows.

Mo: My roommate is a nice guy, but he smells like cat piss and he's always stealing my shit!
Lester: You got that right, friend.
Ari: She's a nice girl, but she farts all the time and has corn-lookin' teeth!
