| 8. | Nu Emo | ||
|
Emo of the new age. "Emo" bands formed from the late 1990s to the gay 2000s with whiny and repetitive lyrics and music. People such as prepmos usually listen to this genre. It's mainstream. And if it's not already, it will be.
Nu Emo consists of: Hawthorne Heights, Taking Back Sunday, Senses Fail, and many other bands with ovaries (according to the flash emogame) Subgenres of Nu Emo are: Post Harcore such as Underoath, Pop Punk such as Hit the Lights, Pop Rock such as Panic! At the Disco, and what some people like to think of as "Rock" which in their minds would be The Used. pshhh. Other bands such as AFI can not be categorized as Nu Emo being that they started in the early 1990s. Yeah, bitches betcha didn't know that. But, of course look at them now. Two words: sold out. Emo was basically started from a band call Sunny Day Real Estate. Another popular band is Dashboard Confessional which is totally mainstream as we know it today. Thanks MTV, thanks. But these two bands among several others are really considered to be of the alternative indie rock persuasion. Don't be fooled kids, MTV changes facts, perspectives, and opinions. It's evil; save yourselves. Honestly, I don't know why people follow this crap. Prepmo Jane: EH I love this new AFI album 'DECEMBERUNDERGROUND'
Musical Mary: Okay, and what about 'Answer That and Stay Fashionable' or 'Very Proud of Ya'? Jane: What? Um. 'Sing the Sorrow' was good too. Mary: Yes, okay. Just go listen to your dumb Nu Emo, you mainstream MTV whore. Jane: Weeeeeeeeeee! |

| 11. | Adam Carson | ||
|
“My name is Adam, and if you quote this message then I will have a quote”
Adam Carson is an amazingly funny, sweet, behind-the-scenes guy. He is the original and only drummer of AFI, though he has put in some work with other bands such as Tiger Army. His bandmates include the ever-gorgeous Jade Puget, the always hilarious Hunter Burgan, and the amazingly lyrical Davey Havok. Adam pulls AFI together with his rockin' beats! He, at one point, admitted to enjoying pirates.... however he has mentioned the annoying habit of fans to over-estimate his love of them. Adam doesn't get enough love from the world. However, he may appreciate that. Adam said he enjoys hanging in the back. He once stated, "I'm a drummer, not a model." Seeing as he approves of not shining in the spotlight, he believes that the lead singer gets the limelight, but the drummer gets the girls!! Adam Carson is a very silly man! A good example of said silliness is the time I went to see a show of AFI's in Arizona and he made funny faces at me. He was rather far away, but saw me staring shamelessly at him. Upon noticing the staring, he proceded to make funny faces at me, and continued to do so countering my faces with new ones until he was distracted. Adam is a GREAT guy!!!
Interviewer - "Do you prefer cuddling or spooning?" Adam - "If you mean cuddling puppies and spooning ice cream into my mouth I'd have to call a tie." |

| 12. | Blaqk Audio | ||
|
Blaqk Audio is a band consisting of Jade Puget and Davey Havok of AFI. It is Jade and Davey's side project, NOT the new AFI. Blaqk Audio is club music and is highly danceable. BEWARE; Tweeny boppers will soon be in love with Blaqk Audio, but for now, they have no clue who they are. Blaqk Audio is a hella rad band.

| 13. | AFI | ||

Sellouts AFI was a great punk band or "east bay hardcore," before they decided to turn EMO and make music for kids who like to cut themselves. I hope having your crappy new songs played on the radio was worth it AFI.
