Muslim- a follower/believer of the religion of Islam. Muslims leave normal lives like you and I, only they are more strict on certain subjects. Like many other races, muslims are often misunderstood to be terrorists/anti-semitics/anti-christian/anarchists/anti-american. Most muslims do not commit acts of terrorism. Due to the actions of a few bad muslims, they have singlehandedly created a sterotypical image of a muslim: a towel headed, fanatical, suicidal, pyshcopath. They are one of the most misunderstood people on earth. Many people say that if we kill all the muslims, then there would be no more terrorists activities. That is genocide, and it would makes us no better than the nazis. Many of the things we use today are from muslim decent. Like coffee, algebra,and the concept of zero.

I will not repeat the obvious but give a personal experience of muslims and their religion. I have a friend from Malasya, she is muslim, and the sweetest girl I ever met. She wears her veil on her head and is proud of the purity she stands for. she discussed with me world peace and she is nothing but a loving caring person. she works her rear off to send money back to her family and studies hard to do so. she has no selfish bone in her body and still knows how to have fun. she doesn't eat meat and we always prepared meat free foods for her as well as other americans in the group who didnt eat meat. she is open minded, kind, shares everything, and tries so hard to adapt to being with foreigners as well as keeping up her religious routine.
My friend is a muslim and I wish there were more people like her.

A believer in Islam which is a monotheistic religion characterized by the acceptance of the doctrine of submission to God. They are unfairly judged by the ignorant individuals in our society who fail to try to understand the religion. It is one of the main religions in the world and based on peace. Like the KKK in Christianity it has small groups like the Taliban that preach extremes that the rest of the followers of the religion dont adhere to.
I cannot judge every American based on one extreme, therefore I would not judge all Muslims based on one extreme.

I will start you off with a handful of quotes from the Qur'an. I can go on for pages but there isn't the space here. I will ignore the Hadiths (with such wonderful quotes as "If a woman's conduct is mischievous or immodest, the husband has the right to beat her up but must not break her bones" TR. P 439) and will stick to the divine infallible word of Allah through Prophet Mohammed.
Believers, take neither Jews nor Christians for your friends. They are friends with one another. Whoever of you seeks their friendship shall become one of their number. Allah does not guide the wrong-doers. 5:51

Mohammed is Allah's apostle. Those who follow him are ruthless to the unbelievers but merciful to one another. 48:29

Those who resist Allah and his messenger will be humbled to dust. 58:5

As for those who disbelieve and deny Our revelations, they are the heirs of Hell. 5:10

...make war on the leaders of unbelief...Make war on them: Allah will chastise them at your hands and humble them. He will grant you victory over them... 9:12

Historical relations with Europe are almost entirely about Europeans fighting off Muslim agression since the early IXt century right until the XIXth when the final Muslim soldier was kicked out of mainland Europe (from Turkish-occupied Bulgaria). However, Muslims like to keep quiet about their bloody history but never fail to point the fingers of the Crusades
