Depending on context, a scrub will *usually* refer to an inferior or lesser person in some way. It should be noted that unlike other commonly used slurs such as nigger, redneck, Jew, faggot or whore, the term scrub is a broad encompassing definition that can be applied to individuals regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation or religious affiliation.

With that being said, a "scrub" usually refers to an individual that chooses to live a certain lifestyle that is… "frowned upon." First and foremost, a scrub is deadbeat, and more often than not will have no car, money or job. They are often 100% dependent on charity (family, welfare, etc), and are notorious loners and drug users. They are typically unattractive, have no social lives, and fail in all aspects when it comes to their pursuit of romantic interests

Scrubs typically aren't enrolled in school (as this implies that they're actively working for their future), but if by some off-chance they are then they're undoubtedly failing miserably. So, in conclusion, a scrub is a socially rejected loser who is going no where, doing nothing and failing miserably at all aspects of life.

Abbreviation for 'More often than not'

A person who claims to be guided by and a follower of conservative ideals and principals, but in reality is primarily and mostly just the opposite. While they may take a conservative stance on a few periphery issues, and even speak in conservative terms and espouse conservative ideas, they are in reality individuals who at their core are functionally anti-conservative.

A good reference group to look at that exemplifies pseudo-conservatism is the neocons. Neocons more often than not espouse ideas such as being "pro-life", pro-Constitution, pro-America, pro-freedom, pro-liberty, and pro-democracy. They will also espouse the idea of "smaller government". However in reality, the policies they support and implement are in direct contrast and conflict with those positions.

"Scene" is a culture made mostly of teenagers and is relatable to emo. It is a culture derived to reject the "norm". Scene kids might often be quoted as saying "I hate people that arn't themselves" or "I dress this way because this is who I am!". Ironically, there has become a set mold which scene kids seemingly strive to fit, and they all look/act the same.

"Scene" guys often wear:
-Tight jeans
-tight t shirts, often from elementary school/middle school, or picked up from the local thrift store.
-tight blazers and jackets, even during a warm summer.
-Long, greesy hair, cut and dyed at home, with bangs that cover 1/2 of a "scene" guy's face at a 45 degree angle.

"Scene" girls often wear:
-Bright colored makeup
-Short, choppy hair, usually thicker on one side, and containing 2+ colors.

A movie without the benefit of well-recognised actors and cinema screenings, though also commonly associated with poor acting, bad effects and a minimal or ridiculous storyline which justifies any number of violent acts or scantily clad women.

More often than not these films can be enjoyed with a group of friends armed with large quantities of alcohol and be found more entertaining than anything with enough budget to make blood not look like strawberry toothpaste.

One of the few respectable subcultures in that they're not retarded children who must make themselves the center of attention by moaning about slight imperfections grossly romanticized (emo) or equally stupid lemmings who try to follow random, often mixed up, misinformed and ignorant stereotypes surrounding certain subcultures (scenesters). Goths are truly artistic and are often very friendly and intelligent once you get to know them. They are often demonized by high school councilors who act like they have a fork stuck up their ass and mainstream media-slaves because of their popular association with Counter-culture religions and philosophies(i.e. Lucifinarianism, Wicca, etc.) this presumption is more often than not untrue and just goes to show how ignorant people can be.

Goths are often misunderstood because dispite artistic flavor and expression, it is often manifested in masochistic/sadist themes. And if you can't appreciate darker forms of expression, art, music and writing, go fuck yourself you pretentious little fucknut.

Goth is also respectable in that it's not about non-comformity. It's about free expression, not just shitting out reasons to stand against mainstream ideas just for the hell of it.
