Monotype is like the word 'monotone' but it's used for when people are talking in IMs, Texts, etc.

Monotype is when you don't show emotions when your typing to someone. When you don't use emoticons, or people can't tell how you HONESTLY feel about something.

The word monotype was created by KNM.
You: Omg, that video was amazing! xD
Monotype reply: yeah it was great

Non-monotype reply:

You: Omg, that video was amazing! xD
Non-monotype: Yeah, it was freaking amazing! xD
