A unit of measure that is 1/1000th of an inch. The term can also be used interchangeably with "thou" witch is simply much shorter than saying "thousandths of an inch". The advent of the metric system has generated some confusion as some have used the term "mil" as an abbreviation for the millimeter (mm). The only thing that they share is that each is 1000th of something. The traditional "mil" is 1 thousandth of an inch and the millimeter is 1 thousandth of a meter.
Although the unit seems impossibly small it is very common in industries where an inch is absurdly large such as film (for plastic bags), foil, and wires. 1 mil = 1 thou = 0.001" = 0.0254mm This is a pretty precise measuring tool, it says that a single strand of my hair is 2 mil thick.

Quite possibly the cheapest, most stable, most easily made and most easily acquired explosive that an average joe, wanting to blowing something up for the sake of fun, can make. Flash powder is commonly used in M80s, silver salutes, firecrackers, and cherry bombs as well as large scale salutes seen in professional fireworks shows. It consists of two components: finly powdered aluminum (2 micron), and potassium perchlorate mixed in a ratio of 3 parts aluminum to 7 parts potassium perchlorate by weight. Both of these components are perfectly legal to purchase, and can be purchased online by anyone, of any age, who has a credit card. The aluminum must be a very finly powdered flake style usually sold under the name indian black or german blackhead. It can be bought from eBay. The potassium perchlorate can be found at any number of internet suppliers. 1 pound of flash powder can be made for only around $20.00 US, although a typical device like an M80 contains only 5 grams (1 lb = 454 grams). The power of flash powder can be increased significantly by adding additives such as: sulfur, antimony sulfide or just simply black powder in small amounts, typically 8-9 parts flash powder to 1-2 parts additive. This however, decreases the stability and could cause spontaneous ignition especially if the additive is not free of acid. The Space Case is a herb grinder made to highest quality and standards. It is a 3 compartment grinder which is constructed of aircraft grade aluminum.
Top Compartment consists of sharp metal pins. The lid is held on by a surprisingly strong magnet. There are holes drilled in between the cutting pins to allow the ground herb to fall through to the second compartment. Because of this, the herb keeps a consistency necessary for good rolled joints. The second compartment has a fine micron screen mounted to the bottom of it. This screen allows the THC from the ground herb to fall into the third compartment. If you shake the grinder around while the herb is still in this compartment, more THC will gather in the third compartment. The third compartment is a thin tray. The first time you open the Space Case, there is a tiny triangle piece of plastic which is used to gather any fallen THC on this tray.
