Went by this alias for most of his rapping career. Derived from the ITALIAN poet/diplomat/philosopher/ Niccolo Machiavelli. Everytime someone asks me why i love Tupac so much, believe it or not i can't give them a solid answer. Truth is, there aint enough words to describe him. I hope this definition can clearly show my love for him because i got a lot to say. So, why was the dude so great? And if he needed your attention, he didnt just say it.. he yelled it. He didnt just talk. He Screamed, if he had somthin to say the man would say it. And you know you could take him seriously, he had more credibility then any known rapper today. He went through it all from bangin to slangin. Rape charges, shootin cops(he had a good reason), getting shot, dope, teenage pregnancies. you name it, he went through it. Doylestown is a small town in PA. Its true that most people who live here are rich, but not everyone is. Yes you can find a drug dealer on some corners and maybe the kids go out and get drunk a lot, but kids do that in a lot of towns. Doylestown gets a bad rep because some douchebags have to go out, play ghetto, and try to be cool even though there just rich white kids. Sure, its true my parents gave me a car for my 16th birthday, and maybe it was a BMW, but that doesnt mean im a bad person or live in an awful town. Doylestown is a great place, its has lots of shops, is a very caring community with lots of nice people, and is the hub for the 2nd best school district in PA. Lots of people may be rich but that happens when a community is surrounded by the summer estates of rich New Yorkers. Ok,so i see alot of "definitions" here are mostly opinions, and im here to write a true DEFINITION.I would define slipknot as not Nu-metal,cause if you really listen to their music, and as much as you guys hate to admit it, they're much heavier(listen to their album "All Hope Is Gone" and you'll see what i mean)then the Nu-metal bands out today(e.g mudvayne,disturbed)but maybe juszt heavy metal with death metal elements.The band consist's of 9 members. i agree 100% that it isnt nesessery to have so many when you can only hear about 4 or 5.Saying that the band has no talent is just bullshit.Sure, corey may not kno how to scream very well but that doesnt mean he cant have a great singing voice(which he does). And to say that joey jordison is an overated drummer is also bullshit. Sure, hes no frost,hellhammer or dave lombardo but hes definitley one of the better drummers in the metal scene today.To say that the guitarist's dont have talent is yet again,bullshit. listen to the guitar solo in vermillion and you tell me theres no talent there.Sadly, i cant really describe the other members beacuse i can only hear them in a few of their songs.And that is my definition for Slipknot.Love em' or hate em' but definitly respect them and really listen to them before judging them.
