57. hipster
I define "hipsters" as poseurs who are immitating people who are actually hip, or at least who they perceive to be hip. A hip person typically has some degree of fashion sense, and a good example of the difference between this and a "hipster" is how a hip person might buy articles of clothing from the Salvation Army because they're cheap and/or unique, whereas a "hipster" would shop at some sort of boutique that sells exclusively fashionable vintage clothing and pay 10 times as much for more or less the same items.

A hip person is cognitive of what styles are fashionable, and finds a style that suits his or her self, but doesn't necessarily have to be wearing exclusively non-mainstream vintage or designer articles. A hipster either copies a hip person, the other hipsters he knows, or whatever he sees in "Vice" magazine. A few fashion items are always acceptible regardless of how much of a poseur you are or aren't: Chuck Taylors, black hoodies, tight pants, etc.

A hip person might look hung over or like they just got out of bed, but if they do, it's because they really are hung over and just got out of bed. A "hipster" might spend considerable effort faking that look by messing up their hair and intentionally wearing wrinkled clothes. A telltale sign of a hipster douchebag is that he or she is clearly "trying" to be fashionable. They often overaccessorize with some sort of scarf, hat, or outlandish shoes, and put a great deal of effort into making sure ev...

58. Post-grunge
Music that killed grunge worse than a bullet to Kurt Cobain's head or Layne Staley's speedball overdose ever could. Post-grunge is a more mainstream version of grunge music, which seems a rather inoffensive thing at first, but contemporary acts such as Puddle of Mudd, Nickelback, Three Doors Down, Godsmack, Staind, Creed and Three Days Grace reveals the genre to be a parody of original grunge. Exaggerated attempts at singing like Eddie Vedder, predictable and formulatic song structures, and insincere angst with no artistic quality are characteristics of post-grunge.
(Listening to typical rock radio station)

Thomas: Hey, this kinda sounds like Alice in Chains, only the guitar sucks, the lyrics are trite, and the singer's vocal range is garbage.

Fred: Yeah, that's Godsmack, another post-grunge act.
59. rap
Many people think that its all about drugs, money, violence, and sex. But its really not, most mainstream rap is about these, but thats not the good rap. And besides, don't have they most of that in every genre of music. Blues has many references to drugs. Metal has violence in it ( Raining Blood ). Elvis sung about women so once you think abotu it its like every other genre of music. The underground rap is usually better then mainstream. Tupac is considered the best rapper ever. Rap stands for Rythem and Poetry. Many people consider snap music like D4L and Dem Franchize Boyz or Soulja Boy to be rap but its not real rap, just a spinoff of crunk.
Idiot - Rap sucks, Its all about sex, violence, and drugs.
Me - Isn't rock too?
Idiot - Uhm....
60. cow-mo
Cow-Mo is a subgenre of country music that is a mix of country and emo. This genre of of country music got it first start in early 2004 among county singers that wanted be more in vain of new age light rock and emo then the county music of past. The musical beginnings (both in music and fashion) of Cow-Mo had a somewhat slow start but really begin to take off in great part to the mainstream reach of county and its divestment in the wake of American idol in the mid-00's.

see Rascal Flatts and Keith Urban
look at that gay pinkneck cow-mo prancing down the street.
61. MTV
A tv station made to destroy good music and turn pieces of art (music) into mainstreambullshit for lidsay lohan wannabe's to dance to.
poser: "OMG DID YOU HEAR THAT SONG ON MTV? I LOVE THAT BAND EVEN THOUGH I ONLY KNOW THE CHORUS TO ONE SONG! OMG <3333"

normal person: "stfu i hate you go die."
62. Indie Syndrome
When someone thinks anything mainstream or popular sucks, regardless of the quality.
Dude, you hate The Beatles? Jesus, that's one bad case of Indie Syndrome.
63. Rap
Rapping (also known as emceeing, MCing, spitting, or just rhyming) is the rhythmic spoken delivery of rhymes and wordplay, one of the elements of hip hop music and culture. Rap is NOT a genre a music, but rapping, or MCing is a part of the genre "Hip-Hop". Hip-Hop also consists of graffiti art, DJing, MCing(rapping), and breaking.

Today, almost all mainstream rap has completely sold out to mainstream America. Mainstream rap has NO self expression in it, and does not represent itself well anymore. More and more artists try to get a hit song, rather than express themselves- or a good album. So anyone that thinks "rap" is what they see on TV (Soulja Boy, 50 Cent, etc.) is definately wrong. In fact, most of these shitty rappers don't even represent their DJ. "Bling rap" is BULLSHIT.

Good rap flows, and not just relies on the beat, it works with it. Rap is all about expression, but has been capitalized on as of late, unfortunately. There are some rappers and hip-hop artists that still keep it real though, but almost all of them are underground- if still active.

For all the people that think rappers like "Soulja Boy, 50 Cent, Chingy, and Chamillionaire" are real, you're wrong. That's "Hip-POP", and it sucks. There is no expression in Hip-Pop, but there is always expression from a real Hip-Hop rapper.

For all the people out there that think rap/hip-hop is what they see on TV, and people rapping about their shopping lists or other miscellaneous bullshit- I urge you to ...
