A dangerous drug synthesized from paper and ink extracts in Switzerland. Addiction occurs nearly simultaneously with the first consumption, and will deplete one's wallet faster than you can say "Tap that freaking Darksteel Colossus, yeah baby".

Mom: Where's your money?
Nerd: I just spent it on some maj
Mom: wow, that's so sad...
A card game developed in the late 1980's/early 1990's where two, or more, players try to defeat one another using a series of spell cards, creature cards and artifact cards.
Features fantastic artowrk but cards are costly and has been stated by many as being too overpriced.

Cost of Magic the Gathering cards = WTF
The salvation for social rejects, Magic is an addictive collectable card game relying only on the player's math and strategy. Magic will consume your life faster than you can say "Mom, I need more money."
I never thought I would ever spend $3.69 for 50 cents worth of paper and ink, but then I started playing Magic the Gathering.
Overrated card game where the player with the most money wins seeing as good cards can cost up to 50 dollars each. It is quite imbalanced as tournament winners all have the same deck showing the best strategy for the particular set. All you can do is spend hundreds of dollars on a deck so your cards can become useless when a new set comes out.
Nerd 1: Want to play Magic The Gathering?
Nerd 2: Okay.
*Nerd 1 plays creature for 1 mana*(from old set)
*Nerd 2 plays creature for the same cost with the same stats except his has flying and can destroy one monster per turn*(from new set)
*Nerd 2 wins eventually*
Nerd 2: Don't feel bad my deck cost 1200 dollars.
of virgins. $12/ 60 cards = you got jacked, preteen!
"Best Cardgame" isn't saying much, to the dismay of two hundred thousand boner-nursing thirteen-year-olds clutching sticky binders full of bits of paper.
or more affectionatly known as "Tragic the saddening
This is a card game where the players spend vast sums of money collecting a deck of "magic" cards. THey then proceed to withdraw from people and society turning into trolls who never see the light of day. They can often be seen playing magic the gathering
together and will NEVER socialise with you again.
-Is Paul coming round today?
no he's playing magic the gathering.
-Tragic the Saddening more like....
A card "game" played by the mentally underdeveloped so they do not have to interact with all those people who possess superior charm and intellect. Unfortunately for those who play this ridiculous game that constitutes just about everyone else. Their embarrassment at this obvious fact sees them concoct elaborate fictions about how great and complicated this games is. Essentially just a past time for morons.
Mike plays magic the gathering! What a tool. Surely anyone over the age 15 would have more sense.
