An awesome effort by Bob Geldof and crew to bring awareness to the situation in Africa.
A group of live concerts performed simultaneously on four different continents. Another indication that individuals are capable of doing extra-ordinary things to benefit mankind, to make a difference. A wake up call. Seeing REM perform live at Live8 in London made me realize how global a society we really are.
The Live8 concerts were seen by billions worldwide and broadcast free by AOL, demonstrating the awesome power of the Internet. |
