|
Hip hop music, also referred to as rap or rap music, is a style of popular music which came into existence in the United States during the mid-1970s, and became a large part of modern pop culture during the 1980s. It consists of two main components: rapping (MCing) and DJing (audio mixing and scratching). Along with hip hop dance (notably breakdancing) and urban inspired art, or notably graffiti, these compose the four elements of hip hop, a cultural movement that was initiated by inner-city youth, mostly African Americans in New York City, in the early 1970s.

Typically, hip hop music consists of intensely rhythmic lyrical form making abundant use of techniques like assonance, alliteration, and rhyme. The rapper is accompanied by an instrumental track, usually referred to as a "beat", performed by a DJ, created by a producer, or one or more instrumentalists. This beat is often created using a sample of the percussion break of another song, usually a funk or soul recording. In addition to the beat other sounds are often sampled, synthesized, or performed. Sometimes a track can be instrumental, as a showcase of the skills of the DJ or producer. Hip hop began in The Bronx, located in New York City, when DJs began isolating the percussion break from funk and disco songs. The early role of the MC was to introduce the DJ and the music and to keep the audience excited. MCs began by speaking between songs, giving exhortations to dance, greetings to audience members, jokes an... |

| 37. | underoos | ||
|
Underoos is undergarments containing pictures, graphics of cartoons character(s) and/or movie character(s) on a t-shirt sold with a color brief. These eventually evolved into briefs only and two major underwear manufactures took the concept and branded FunPals/FunGals (Fruit of the Loom) and Showtoons (Hanes). These underwear have the cartoons and/or character(s) printed directly on the brief in either multiple impressions or large single impression. However, these designed were mostly limited to children under the age of 12 with some design prints such as Star Wars with sizes available for slightly older children. In response to popular demand of kids not being able to wear this underwear manufactures such as Old Navy and Gap now market printed briefs to older children. Following the movie Charlie’s Angel a prototype adult version of the original design of underoos was created by Fruit of the Loom and was introduced to their product line, however they were unable to secure a distribution partner to continue into full scale production. Hanes is currently marketing such underwear as Space designs, Ninja Turtles, Hulk and Spiderman designed to older children and seem to be continuing their efforts with some success as they are continuing to introduce different designs.

Noob is the derivident of newb which is the derivident of Newbie, meaning someone that is new to something.
more...
Newbie has been commonly used both on Computers and RL (Real-life) for a long time, but has become less frequent both in RL and internet. More commonly used is Newb, which is coming back into fashion due to the exact reason of this topic. Meant to be pronounced New-Bee, it unfortunately got to be pronounced "noob", for all those dumb idiots and illiterate people. Upon this point, noob began to be more commonly used. I believe this started out mainly on Runescape, and maybe WoW. Commonly used in the old fashioned way of newbie, it gradually became a minor insult, for when someone did something stupid, you called them a noob, meaning that they were obviously new. Recently, noob has become a much more offensive word. This was evident on Runescape, as they blocked the word noob for a while, though this may have been due to their strict filtering system and the word "knob", but it is now useable again (I think). It has become a seemingly strong insult on the internet, and is beginning to take force on RL. There does not seem to be an exact meaning to this upcoming swear-word except "newbie", so there seems to reason to find it offensive. It's closest relations is most likely "idiot" and other such words, in a much more offensive format. Large internet communities now have quite a problem with the word noob, since it is not swearing, but is taken offensively. Thi... |

|
The Supreme Mathematics, in the teachings of the Nation of Gods and Earths, is a system of understanding numbers alongside concepts that are used along with the Supreme Alphabet as tools to unlocking the keys to reality and the universe. Clarence 13X invented the system after splitting with the Nation of Islam.

Despite its name, the Supreme Mathematics is not actual mathematics. It instead is a variety of numerology specific to the theology and philosophy of the Nation of Islam and the Nation of Gods and Earths. The distinction between the two rests in large part on the fact that mathematics as such does not anthropomorphize numbers with such characteristics as Knowledge and Understanding, and also the fact that modern mathematics is founded solely on the axiomatic method, which the Supreme Mathematics lacks entirely. Because of this lack of axioms, the Supreme Mathematics is not useful for deriving new truths about logical objects (the principal activity of mathematicians) but instead is generally recognized as a collection of useful metaphors for specific philosophical concepts that benefit from a treatment drawing on the familiar concept of numbers. A version of the Supreme Mathematics Disclaimer: It is incumbent upon each individual to develop his or her own understanding of supreme mathematics. Although the definition of the terms are accepted throughout, the words below are another person's interpretation. (1) Knowledge is simply the accumulation of facts through... |

Every time some thing is created, something comes along that tries to parody it. However, when something has grown large, bloated and into nearly universal recognition, more drastic measures must be taken.

Bobobo-Bo-Bobobo is an anime to end all anime. It is the culmination of over 30 years of Japanese television all distilled into one psychadelic rant that mocks every iteration of of the genre. However, the producers decided to do this in the form of the old fashioned Saturday morning serial kid's show. In reality, it's like the /b/ of anime. The show format is that of a sketch comedy show that occurs at random during a prolonged, typical anime serial about an oppressive empire and one determined hero out to stop it. However, a rogue's gallery for "wiggins" is the cast of the show and they constantly interrupt the story with skits involving anything from Japanese daytime office drama, Samurai movies, yakuza comedey shows, game shows, Romance movies, etc. The story is still followed throughout the show but all fights involve the use of random techniques that are either rediculously effective or just there to make the audience laugh their pants off. The Best Aspect of Bobobo is that it was dubbed into English using excelent casting. The American voice actors perfectly capture each character and make for flowing dialogue that contributes greatly to the comediac aspect of the show. If anything, think of combining SNL and MAD TV with InuYasha and Dragonball Z nd m... |
