1) a fictitious retailer that sells "jerks." 2) a line that one imagines to be the perfect comeback
1) REILLY: The ocean called. They're running outta shrimp.
GEORGE: Oh yeah, Reilly? Well, the jerkstore called. They're running outta you.
REILLY: What's the difference? You're their all-time best
2)GEORGE: Don't you understand? It's not about him. To have a line as perfect as "jerkstore" and to never use it. I, I couldn't live with myself.
ELAINE: See, there are no jerkstores. It..it's just a little confusing, is all.
GEORGE: It's smart. It's a smart line, and a smart crowd will appreciate it. And, I'm not gonna dumb it down for some bonehead mass audience!
somethin from a really stupid joke that george was obsessed with and flew to ohio for a chance to use it on an episode of seinfeld
"yea well the jerk store called and their running out of you!"
I first heard "jerkstore" on an episode of Seinfeld. George (Jason Alexander) was at a business meeting, eating a whole mess o' shrimp. This other guy says, "Hey George, the ocean called, they're running out of shrimp." Everyone has a good laugh and George is speechless. On the drive home, he thinks up a comeback "Oh yeah? Well, the jerkstore called, they're running out of you."
Oh yeah? Well, the jerkstore called... they're running out of you.
what you say to someone being a jerk
"Jerk Store called, they want you back"
a comeback muttered under your breath when you can't think of anything better to say.
joe: hey bobby, i just did your mom!
