Also known as Jeff Beck ;)

One of the greatest and most influential guitar players in the world.

Jeff Beck was born in Surrey, England on June 24, 1944. He build his own electric guitar when he was only thirteen years old using a radio as an amplifier. At age 15 Jeff joined his first band, the Deltones. They played mostly the music of the Shadow's, who were considered England's most popular band until the Beatles came along and changed that. Jeff joined the Tridents in 1963. In March of 1965, Jeff was hired by the Yardbirds to replace Eric Clapton, who had just left the group, to go join John Mayall. Jeff played with the Yardbirds until the fall of 1966.

After Jeff left the Yardbirds, he recorded some tracks with Jimmy Page, John Paul Jones, and Keith Moon. One of the songs that was recorded was "Beck's Bolero. In February of 1967, Jeff formed the Jeff Beck Group. Rod Stewart did the vocals for the band, while Ron Wood went from playing guitar to playing bass later on. The Jeff Beck Group, with its ever changing line-up, finally disbanded in the summer of 1972.

Is a Nigel Tufnel lookalike (or vice versa)!

A decent enough guitarist who has nonetheless become the epitome of "overrated". Along with Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck was one of the very early guitar heroes. However the arrival of Hendrix made him yesterdays' news immediately and he spent the remaining decades churning out boring albums every few years that lack any clear musical direction. Regularly hailed as second only to Hendrix in guitar god status despite the fact that we have seen the likes of Eddie Van Halen, Randy Rhoads, Steve Vai, Joe Satriani and dozens more who blow Jeff Beck out the water. Usually Jeff Beck is namedropped by insecure rock snobs to impress people nearby, despite the fact that nobody really likes him that much, or are even that familiar with anything he has done. Mentioning Jeff Beck is a good way to heal any damaged credibility someone may have if they happen to say they like any currently uncool music.
Rock poser guy- "Jeff Beck is so awesome, for sheer technical ability and feel, he has no match."
Some guy listening (who hasn't heard any Jeff Beck) - " I agree totally, the way he plays guitar is amazing"
Rock poser guy - "Yes, I mean.....Jeff Beck, man.....just.......whoa"

Guitar god who, despite the fact that he didn't write his own songs, was one of the greatest, most technically advanced, and most innovative rock musicians of all time. Part of the trio of guitar legends (Beck, Clapton, and Page) who were involved with British blues rock band the Yardbirds.

One of the greatest guitarists of all time, who passed away in January this year. Probably the best human out of the three famous guitarists (the other two being Eric Clapton and Jimmy Page) who played for the Yardbirds.
Jeff Beck (24 June 1944-10 January 2023) was one of the best guitarists of all time.
