iwot or IWOT means incoming wall of text and is the polite way of introducing large blocks of text or code in a chat room. It was originated in the deviantART chat room #Apophysis as a way of giving a much needed heads up that an Apophysis flame parameter file was about to be posted, and has since become a part of general chat culture.
