Symptoms include forming irrational conclusions, like "im going to jail, im going to lose my house, im going to have my dog reposesed.

A user name is used on sites where people post messages. I find the user name tends to cause a state of chaos. On some sites there are photographs as well as a user name causing total chaos. I jump to irrational conclusions when two people look alike - " Are they role playing ? " I wonder.

Is the acronym for "Don’t Defeat Yourself." As the expanded notation would imply, it is a word that can be used to identify or describe an action or situation in which the individual inflicts severe harm emotionally, physically, socially, or monetarily to himself without any direct assistance from a third party. Although DDY does imply itself to be a type of warning or advice for a future event, DDY is commonly used in all three tenses: Past, Present and Future.

The most common form of DDY is emotional trauma. Usually, DDY occurs when an individual is attempting to interpret the behavior or intentions of a member of the opposite sex. It is equally common for an individual to “DDY” himself again while trying to decide what course of action to take. Please note DDY is not to be confused with self reflection, meditation, or deep careful thought. DDY is the process in which the individual intensely cycles a small sample of thoughts in order to force form a supposedly thought out conclusion. Every DDY conclusion is irrational and is wrong, thus being DDY. If the forced conclusion turns out to be the correct decision, then that decision was a good decision under pressure not DDY. DDY conclusions by definition must be wrong and absurdly in conflict with a well thought out solution. This channel is considered to be a total joke by all other repubtable news channels like CNN, MSNBC, BBC, and the network news shows. The reason? The news is supposed to be presented to viewers without spin, so that they can draw their own conclusions about a story. Granted, depending on an individual reporters political views, there will always be some slight bias. But Fox News presents the news with an obvious and overpowering conservative bias. And what's funny is that they call themselves 'fair and balanced.' What a crock of crap! To informed viewers, it's easy to see through the personalities who use choice wording to make conservatives appears strong and just, while making moderates appear weak and liberals appear irrational. This is not news. Fox can even spin stories that aren't politcally based, such as turning reports on Katrina into a politcal stomping ground. This channel is home to some of the biggest assholes on TV including Britt Hume, Sean Hannity, and Bill O'Rilley. But the worst of all is Ann Coulter, who I'm pretty sure should be diagnosed with a mental ailment. The problem with this channel is that it's easily able to infiltrate/brainwash many non-politcally active viewers.
