An ifeminist is a REAL feminist that does NOT:
1. Turn to the government for help (unlike radical feminists)
2. Become a butch lesbian vegan hippie communist prude that hates men, and chastises one for being a heterosexual woman that likes men, looks pretty, and eats meat (unlike radical feminists)
3. Believe women are weak, helpless victims of patriarchy, and men are strong, powerful oppressors (unlike radical feminists)
4. Believe a "Big Bad Patriarchy" exists to systematically oppress women (unlike radical feminiss)
5. Turn horrible HUMAN problems like (for example) terrorism, war, rape and domestic violence into gender "women good, men bad" issues (unlike radical feminists)
6. Be intolerant of dissent from one's own political beliefs (umlike radical feminists)
7. By into fascist political correctness (unlike radical feminists)
8. Blindly agree with NOW, the Democratic Party, the Feminist Majority, Ms. Magazine, or any other PC leftist group or person on EVERY fucking issue without any knowledge on the issue in question (unlike radical feminists)
9. Believe guns, porn, etc. are inherently evil patriarchal tools of oppression (unlike radical feminiss)
10. Advocate hypocritical equality by preaching "tolerance" and then discuss how evil whites, heterosexuals, and/or men are (unlike radical feminists)

12. Call capitalism oppressive patriarchal inequality and fascist communist and/or matriarchal societies peaceful and equal (unlike radical feminists)

The term, ifeminism, itself was coined by Wendy McElroy, editor of ifeminists.com. This word is short for, individualist/libertarian feminism, which is a tolerant, classically liberal, truthful, consistent, pro-masculist, pro-sex, pro-free market school of feminism. It very strongly differs from mainstream radical feminism (Which, actually, should rightly be called feminazism. The conservatives may have created the feminist stereotype, but radical feminists CERTAINLY have helped contribute to the formation of the stereotype).

Two notable ifeminists are Wendy McElroy and Cathy Young.

An ifeminist is a conservative or libertarian woman who believes/behaves as though institutional sexism doesn't exist, despite all evidence to the contrary. They often embrace homophobia, transphobia, and racism, perhaps in an effort to prove to regressives and fauxgressives how nonthreatening they are. They even enjoy bashing heterosexual, cisgendered white women if they don't meet their expectations, because we all know true individuality means doing what other people want at least 90% of the time. Like many other antifeminists, they often lose arguments thanks to Godwin's Law.

The ideas behind ifeminism have actually been around long before the word itself. Although women anti-suffragettes didn't call themselves ifeminists, they espoused the same attitudes and tactics as seen in ifeminists today. Many suffragettes, such as Rosa May Billinghurst and Emily Stowe, turned to the government for help -- they wanted legislators to repeal laws that discriminated against women as well as enacting new ones that would protect women's rights. At the time, women's lack of involvement in politics and the workplace were seen as a natural result of women's soft and gentle natures, not as a failure of laws or societal attitudes towards women, just as inequalities in pay and gov't representatio...

An ifeminist is a FAKE feminist that DOES:
1. blindly agree with MRA, the Evangelical Religious Right, Pat Robertson, Rush Limbaugh, or any other PinC far right group or person on EVERY fucking issue without any knowledge on the issue in question (unlike REAL feminists)
2. whore herself out to the masculinist "we have more rights and we want even more rights" con artists (unlike REAL feminists)
3. become a Stepford wife whose only point in life is to serve, cook, clean, suck, and bear 5 sons who will support their father in his slander of women (unlike REAL feminists)
4. believe women are inferior to men and deserve to be treated like shit and "slammed and beaten", as a masculinist (= misogynist) wrote in the woman section (unlike REAL feminists)
5. deny the self-evident and well established fact that we live in a patriarchy in which men make all the important decisions and systematically disadvantage women (unlike REAL feminists)
6. pretend that problems like terrorism, war, rape and domestic violence are gender neutral; 10000000 raped women against 10 men is "neutral" to her (unlike REAL feminists)
7. become intolerant of dissent from one's own political beliefs (unlike REAL feminists)
8. buy into fascist political incorrectness; "nigger" and "cunt" is how she greets people on the street (unlike REAL feminists)
9. believe guns, porn, etc. are super and 5-year old should play with a bazooka while watching 5 men gang-rape a woman (unlike REAL feminists)
