A slightly derogatory, humourous name for metalcore, particularly simple metalcore with too many 1 open chord breakdowns.
LMAO is an obvious reference to the internet acronym for Laughing My Ass Off and 2-step is both a dance seen at hardcore shows (which looks like an un-co version of skanking) and the section of a hardcore song which encourages such dancing. Putting the two words together implies that 2-step is laughable. "hahaha..listen to those breakdowns...fucking LMAO 2-step bullshit"

A dance done to Ska music that the scenester sluts and "hardcore" kids stole and added a "hXc air punch!" to. It does not work with hardcore music and people look stupid while doing it to hardcore music, especially modern hardcore music that isn't really hardcore. Wow Jimmy, you sure looked like a douche trying to 2-step at the Fall Out Boy show last night! Don't you know that 2-stepping is for ska?

Any person who listens to hardcore. They listen to Righteous Jams, Champion, Set Your Goals, Hoods, Donnybrook, The Warriors, Bury Your Dead, etc. They go to shows frequently and mosh. They wear sport shorts or camo and always wear band shirts. They do not have extensions or any of that pussy shit but shave their heads. Most of the time core kids are ex scenesters or ex punk looking for a true music scene. they do wear tight jeans but not their sisters, thats for pussies. They 2 step and spink kick and the majority like Positive music and claim Straightedge. Aaron: Dude i just went to Nordstroms and got these awesome Modern Amusement shirts for $200.

A type of hardcore dancing that takes place during shows in the circle pit. The dancing consists of a running in place movement with the occasional violent movement, such as a kick or punch. I you are in the circle pit "2-stepping" make sure you don't punch a girl.
