look up anything, like your first name:
1. Holier-than-thou
When a person has taken the moral high-ground or are just up themselves, they are being "Holier-than-thou". Holier-than-thou literally means, holier than me or better than me.
Just because I made one stupid mistake doesnt mean Britney gets to give me this holier-than-thou attitude!
2. assholier-than-thou
When an asshole takes up a holier-than-thou position in a given situation simply because they feel it would be a good "asshole-move" to make.
Him: "When they get here, we should speak only in Italian because they missed all the Italian lesson meetings."

Me: "Wow...that's pretty assholier-than-thou."

Him: "I know...I'm an asshole, remember?"
3. Assholier-than-thou

4. holier-than-thou
acting like one is superior to others, condescending
I hate that bastard's holier-than-thou attitude.
5. headier-than-thou
A person who is headie or heady or a head (ie into the jamband scene) and believes they are better than other fans because they have been to a large number of shows, tour extensively, know a great deal of statistics by heart, wear a lot of patchwork, or are extensively organic--anything to do with the jamband scene. Essentially a jamband snob.
Just as “holier-than-thou,” is a word one would use to describe someone who believes they are better than others for their moral points of view, the person who is “headier-than-thou” thinks s/he is better than other fans because of their level of “fan-ness,” or at least this is what other heads believe the “headier-than-thou” person is communicating through their behavior.

That guy won't shut up about how many Phish shows he's been to. He is so "headier-than-thou."

6. more gothic than thou
A sarcastic phrase used to designate a snobbish attitude, or describe people who take themselves too seriously. A play on "'holier than thou." Someone with a "more gothic than thou" attitude will likely tell you about the gothic bands they are into by saying, "You probably haven't heard of them."
Because her whole house was painted black, it gave her a "more gothic than thou" attitude.
7. holier-than-thou
Refers to someone that is stuck-up, or a snob. They must ALWAYS be the leader, and they are always a good leader. Ironically, they always have numerous faults, but never EVER admit to them.
