1. hippie car crash
A car/bicycle encounter when the driver of a parked car exits the vehicle only to see a Birkenstock wearing burlap bag carrying hippie driving an old 50's style bike heading toward the open door. The hippie cannot access the bike's shitty brakes due to the wearing of sandals resulting in the hippie swerving to avoid the open car door, loosing control of the bike and then crashing on the roadway.
Some dirty old, bike driv'n hippie almost hit me while I was getting outta my car. Fucking bum couldn't even work the bike brakes which made him go flying off the bike and crash'n himself onto the pavement causing a hippie car crash. He Musta been high on that old style weed.
2. New age traveler
People, or groups, who travel between festivals or fairs to commune with others who hold similar "hippie" beliefs.

Often convoying in old VW buses, converted camper school buses, or vans

They live on the road and make money by pan handling or vending.

Many follow touring bands.

3. Jedi
A term used within the transient hippie community to refer to someone who is above it all, in the know, or heady.

4. backpacker
1. A person who travels independently, typically on a low budget, usually staying in hostels or with locals rather than in hotels. Usually aged between 18 and 30 but can be older. Backpackers often travel for several months at a time, and do not consider their trip to be a "holiday". Due to the fact that backpacking was popularized by the hippie movement in the 1960s, there is some association of backpackers with aspects of counterculture.

2. A fan of certain types of "alternative" hip-hop. When used as a derogatory term, it can imply that the individual is suburban/middle class and listens to "nerd rap" rather than "real rap". When used as a neutral term of description, it can imply that the individual listens to thought-provoking, original, intellectual hip-hop. The term is especially associated with fans of the record label Definitive Jux.

5. Rizi
A name for a drifter. Someone who moves from place to place like a rolling-stone. Usually a very happy person, carries around an instument, and usually hippie-ish.

6. Hobobo
A homeless version of a bobo. Bobo is French for bourgeois-boheme--in other words a hippie yuppie. Those young folk who simultaneously proscribe to hippie ideals and tastes while valuing a yuppie lifestyle. The hobobo adds lack of permanent residence in the mix and implies vagabond status.
