A term for a person who is neither Ska, nor Hippie. This term describes someone from the early to mid 90's, or at least someone whose fashion reflects that of the early to mid 90's.
Things that a ska-hippie would wear/have: *Yin-Yang anything. *hacky sacks *stupid hats *clothes that are too big *sunglasses that are tinted or too small for your face *DENIM VESTS or DENIM SHIRTS *men wearing cut offs. ***This is really a rotating definition, many things can be added... "Look at that stupid ska-hippie playing hackey sack in the snow!"
It can also be used out of context, as an insult only, such as: "Why are you being such as ska-hippie?" |

Being able to travel permanently around the country in an RV while maintaining an online life for income. Using market capitalism to be free like an anarchist. Guy: "How can you travel year round and follow all the concerts, festivals and Be-ins and also go to all the Ren Fairs? Don't you have to be rich to do that?"
Me: "My hippie girl and I are no where near rich cat! Thanks to Hippie Tech like 4G, twitter, blogs, etsy, eBay and virtual commuting/contracts we can do whatever the hell we want, wherever and whenever! You grok me brother?" Guy: "Far out man!" |

Dresses emo, but has a peace pendent hidden under his/her clothes. Could such a being exist? We'll soon find out... That kid has emo pants, and a tight band shirt, but ... is that a daisy necklace? He must be an emo hippie, wait, do those exist?
