one of the many hellholes of the us. way overrated and overpriced.the only good things people define la by are the beaches, weather, size. other than that, it's a total nightmare. most people are either phony as hell or rude as hell, and don't give a fuck about anyone else. people who you thought were friends will backstab you when you least expect it. everyone has some agenda (be an actor, director, star, model, millionaire, etc.) people aren't upfront about anything. everything is covered in smog and filth, except for the extremely wealthy areas like beverly hills, santa monica, malibu. nobody walks anywhere except in the designated shopping areas. people look at you like you are a freak or something if you are walking. people judge you based on your car and bank account mostly. there are illegal mexicans everywhere. they are rude, loud, obnoxious and disgusting. the rent is so high now that it costs about $1000 a month to live in a dumpy little single apartment in a sleazy, rundown neighborhood. people will smile in your face, then stab you in the back, over and over again. it takes hours to get anywhere on the public transportation, and traffic is always terrible. oh, but the weather is warm and there's lots of entertainment.

Good:

There are some cool looking neighborhoods, with different styles of houses, each one different than the one next to it. Diverse people, with some really good Mexican food. A few beaches are decent, and Angeles Crest is alright. The ethnic market on Broadway with the old buildings is a cool neighborhood. The skyline is cool at night.

Bad:

The city will rip you off for everything you have. Parking signs are misleading, I have 1000 dollars in parking tickets in a year, parking meters can cost two dollars for an hour, the city charges you for parking on Sunday without telling you, housing is the 49/50 most expensive city in the nation. The museums, unlike the MET in NY charge you. If you are a museum do not bring your art to the Getty because it is surrounded in all directions by dry brush. The landscape is UGLY, and neighborhoods burn down each year. There is not a stream that is not encased in concrete in 100 miles. There is hardly any public space, and the recreation areas will charge you if you want to arrive there in a car (the only way to get there unless you plan to walk five or more miles). There was no city planning involved in this city, so it takes forever to get anywhere. Traffic is awful, and public transportation is the worst of any city I have been to. I have waited at a bus stop for over an hour until a lady finally told me that they had moved the stop to around the corner without changing the signs. I wanted to see the La Brea Tar Pits without paying ...

The Teenage Girl is possibly the absolute stupidest, most materialistic, and shallow kind of human there is, and by definition the easiest to make money off of.

The Average Teenage Girl wears a general uniform that includes leggings, uggs, northface jackets, (with some variation in color) in winter (at least last year, every year the fashion changes slightly), on halloween extremely whorish costumes (police, nurse, cheerleader, teacher etc), and in summer extremely tiny shorts and skirts with sunglasses wide enough to hide her entire face. Of course all of these outfits must come from a wide variety of different brands which also provide a wide variety of accessories that she clearly dont need.

Teenage Girls tend to travel in herds of 5 or 6 as they have nothing resembling independent thought or character and are totally subservient to the 'alpha' who decides who they can sleep with or date, what they eat, where they go, what they wear, and what they do (see Mean Girls).

In her free time The Average Teenage Girl likes to listen to mass produced idiotic music by the likes of Miley Cyrus/ Hannah Montana, The Jonas Brothers, Taylor Swift, Britney Spears ...
