A seven part series of hugely successful British novels written by Joanne Rowling. (More popularly known as J.K. Rowling) While each successive books release has received high critical praise the series still maintains popular criticism from a subsect of fantasy readers. This subsect criticizes the popularity of the series as having stolen premises and plots from other, older fantasy series. Most claims of plagiarism in Harry Potter are generally groundless and unjustified, as many successful plot elements have been reused for thousands of years or more.more...

Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone
I saw HPATPS last night, it was awesome!
1. Unfortunately a series of books and films. Both are poor representations of teen life as a wizard. Predictable plot and a book for illiterate young people. Most probably Harry Potter and The Philosophers Stone the only book any chav scally or retard has ever read and called a book. It follows one insignificant boy through a world of toil which happens incidentally within the space of 7 years. Ironically it took 10 years to write what supposibly took 7 years to achieve from a novice wizard and takes an average reader at least a week and a half of hard core reading. Some have suggested that it is an imitation of lord of the rings, however these people have only seen the film and have very little imagination or in the case of most people have seen nor read either and are intent on refusing that either are good or bad.more...

Comes from the film "Harry Potter And The Philosophers/Sorcerers Stone" when an Owl Delivers a Broom-shaped package and when opened Ron Exclaims "Its a Broomstick!"
Guy 1: Ahhh well it's dark.
Guy 2: It's a Broomstick!

Born Tom Marvolo Riddle, he was raised in an orphanage after his mother died during his birth, and the father, a muggle (non magical person) wanted nothing to do with him, his family, or his mother. Described as being a very handsome young man resembling his father, and remained that way up until his later years (thirties to forties)
Even at a very young age, he was shown to have control and a little bit of skill with his magic. Is also seen as a bit psycotic even during his pre pubescent years, and thinks that Dumbledore is a doctor coming to take him away.
During school, he was sorted into Slytherin. He was very, very gifted, and even won the 'special services to the school' for getting rid of the man who opened the
