To be notified that your position (job) is being eliminated in order to be filled by an offshore worker. Typically when an IT professional is given notice that he/she will be laid off and replaced by someone in India.
Joey: Hey, did you hear 60 more people in IT got habib'd last Thursday?

Steve: Oh, man, that totally sucks. Pretty soon there won't be any more Americans working here.
