a spanish slang term for a fair skinned or light haired person. once again it is not derogatory but can be used that way.

Guero / guera (pronounced- "huero" or "weddo")
-it means white person; blonde hair person; or light skinned person

I got a lot of this when I taught in East LA. Best usage appears to be "blondy". It wasn't used much in a derogatory sense. I had to learn take it as harmless. He's tall, he's blond, he's a guero. Just descriptive.

Insisting that it be spelled with a diaeresis or trema is absurd. Sometimes "guerro".

if non-white person: light-skinned or fair-skinned person; if white person: "whitey"

Guero can be anybody's manbe as long as there light skinned and cute!
