in additon to being a smelly book that i was recently assingned to read for english class this term can be used in many other facets of life. A great gatsby can also mean a huge steaming shit. as in if you need to be excused to shit and you were in a literature type environment then you may excuse yourself by simply saying "excuse me sir but i must depart for the water closet for i have a very great gatsby i must evacuate from my bowel". this is the most polite way to say "i need to take a fucking shit right fucking now you fucking fuck", which in most cases is utterly unacceptable. "excuse me sir but i must depart for the water closet for i have a very great gatsby i must evacuate from my bowel"
or simply "i need to take a great gatsby" |

| 3. | books | ||
|
Words assembled on pages. They usually tell stories of things the reader is interested in. That is, unless you're reading in school. Then, you have to read books nobody cares about or even likes. Maybe more people would like reading if they weren't forced to read books that they didn't like. I know I would. In school, some books that I had to read that I hated were The Catcher in the Rye, The Great Gatsby, To Kill a Mockingbird, Lord of the Flies, Animal Farm, the list goes on for quite a while.

| 4. | craptastic | ||
|
When something both sucks and blows; when "fantastic" just can't be said ironically enough; when you're tired of saying, "That's just fucking great"; when you're tired of people saying you're too pessimistic for saying everything's crap so you pep things up with something that at least sounds more optimistic Some person you dislike gets something you think you deserve: "That's craptastic!"
Or: "Have you seen the new reality TV show? Man, it's totally craptastic!" |

| 5. | Animorphs | ||
|
English language science fiction young adult book series written by K. A. Applegate (Katherine Alice Applegate) and published by Scholastic. The first book of the series was published in 1996. Animorphs is the third-most successful children's book series of all time, after Harry Potter and Goosebumps. There was a single-book parody of Animorphs called Vegemorphs.
The series focuses on a group of human teenagers (along with an Andalite) who, with powers of shapeshifting ('morphing') granted upon them by alien technology, attempt to prevent the takeover of Earth by the Yeerks. To gain a new shapeshifting power, they must touch the chosen animal to absorb a length of the animal's DNA, enabling them to morph into that animal. The series is based primarily on Earth, though a few books have their primary setting in an alien environment. Animorphs is such a great book!

| 6. | J.K. Rowling | ||
|
Joanne Katherine Rowling. Writer of many short stories and the famous Harry Potter series. She has written the following published books:
Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone/Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince these are all great books, as many have said. They are not meant to convert people to 'devil worshipping' or anything else that the Pope and/or other people have acclaimed to. It is merely for entertainment purposes and a job for a well-deserving mother. Person 1:Have you read Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire?
Person 2:No, who's it written by? 1: J.K. Rowling. 2: Do you know their real name? 1: Joanne Katherine. And Rowling is pronounced like you can row a boat. not a row like a quarrel. 2: Is the book good? 1: OH YES! its my favorite in the series. 2: Are the movies better than the books. 1: By far, no. I think its because I can expand my horizons on imagining what I want to imagine. A based-on-a-book-film is just one person's point of view on a book. 2: I think I'll read it now!!! |
