One of the most overrated bands in history. They got popular because they pushed left winged propaganda as shallow as the water in my toilet. Same as the Sex Pistols. That band 100% fucking sucked ass. They just got popular because they where so rebellious, something kids in their teenage years seem to love.

They also introduced the Che Guevara image to the kiddies. So we should thank them for the fact that people wear this cold-blooded murderer piece of shit that luckily got executed on their shirts these days.

Tom Morello was their lead guitar player, also way overrated. I hear that people call him the 'best guitar player ever'. Again, total bullshit. Hendrix, Van Halen, Gilmore and Jimmy Page's shoes have more talent then this guy. If you played the guitar yourself, you'd understand. All his neat solo's sound cool because they come out of stomp boxes you can buy in every music store. Really. This guy has the biggest effects chain i've ever seen.

This band proved that you don't need talent to become famous. If you make music that takes a piss on the govnerment and is left winged in general, there is a way bigger chance of success than if you acually have talent, but don't write songs about politics.

Beginning in 2002 and reaching its height in 2004, the EMO Movement was a trend, a feeling, a fashion statement, a music genre, and a lifestyle.

A time when black hair and very tight pants became the look of choice. Any person, mostly teens in high school, who wanted to be immediately stereotyped as being EMO would simply have to have short, spiked hair in the back and long bangs covering at least half of their face. The hair would then have to be died a dull shade of black with, possibly, some obscure color thrown in. Before jean companies started making boys pants to be tight fitting; EMO persons, if male, would wear girl pants. Band t-shirts, 2 sizes too small, were a must during this time. Shoelaces or pieces of leather tied around the wrist and/or concert bracelets became the popular accessory along with a long/skinny scarf and thick, black rimmed glasses.

During the EMO Movement, music was a big part of its popularity. The band forever credited with starting the musical EMO Movement would be Taking Back Sunday. If t-shirts sporting sheep, sharks & pirates, or other absurd graphics were spotted on a teen during this time, you can also credit them with being apart of this movement because it was more than likely a Taking Back Sunday t-shirt they were wearing. Adam Lazzara highly contributed to the EMO fashion statement. Other bands apart of this include: Thursday, The Used, Thrice, or Bright Eyes.

Very similar to 'Drivers Arm', the Farmers Arm originates from the country region of Australia and can also be obtained from driving down long dirt roads in the summer with 3 other mates and a carton of beer.
