The term "girl neg" (verb form: girl negging) is closely related to Neil Strauss's term "neg" but is usually wielded by the feminine gender against members of that same gender. The girl neg takes the form of a back-handed complimented designed to allow one to both bond with the receiver of the girl neg as well as to slowly undermine both their self-confidence and self-worth. When used to best effect, the girl neg sounds positive but leaves lasting scars on the psyche, oftentimes with the recipient of the girl neg remaining unaware of ever having been negged. Examples of an effective girl neg:
1 Oh my god, that skirt looks so great on you! It was way too big on me, but it fits you perfectly! (Translation: You are much fatter than me bitch.) 2 Girl 1: Two guys asked for my number last night! Girl 2: That is so unbelievable! You are just so lucky! (Translation: They must have been blind. I seriously don't believe you. You're lucky it was pitcher night.) 3 I'm so jealous that you're totally in touch with your sexuality. I really wish I could have your confidence. (Translation: You are a complete whore. Thank god I have standards) |

It's a way to pick up girls. How it works is you use remarks to tap into female insecurity; Shake their confidence.
Neg is a negative remark wrapped in a back-handed compliment. So your neg will confuse and intrigue them and maybe even shake their confidence a little bit, but only enough for them to fall from the clouds and be interested in talking to you. Its way to get threw their defenses at bars and such. An example of Negging a girl would be:
"You are nearly as tall as me. I like tall girls (LIFT). Are those heels 4 or 5 inches (DROP)?" OR You say, "Ahhh, that's so funny ... you nose moves when you speak...... (pointing and being cute) look there it goes again ... its so... quaint ... haha look" She'll say, "ahhh, stoppp!"*blush*. Now she is self conscious and having her in this state is where you want her. You have neghit her. |

If you are in a bar and you approach a girl, she basically knows you want to sleep with her. You have to somehow convey that you didn't come for sex. So you are talkative about something even more interesting than her. The only thing from you that can make a 10 notice you is if you show her she doesn't matter to you in the slightest... that is a NEG.

They say that the assholes get the girls, but I can spot negging a mile away and I reject these fuckers straight off. Everywhere there is an insecure pretty girl, there is some guy negging.
