The largely questionable practice of gathering personal details about people you don't know (potential coworkers, friends, dates, or whatever) by trolling the social media profiles of known acquaintances. I met this girl at my buddy's party the other night but all I got was her first name. So, I did a little friendaround through my friend's Facebook page and got her last name, her e-mail, and checked out a few of her pics.
