| 51. | Fog of Life | ||
|
During the day, when you are bored, you look outside the windows from your house. You see nothing but fogs. You, all quietly by yourself, asked, "What is the meaning of life?" Therefore, you decided it is time to walk in the fog. You walked outside, but you can't perceive any physical object except the slow lingering fog. Being surrounded by the fog, you look up the sky in searching for the sun's effort in piercing through the dense fog. As you're looking up, you whispered, "What is the meaning of life." Slowly, you look back down and you see yourself standing in a beautiful place; something that is beyond your dream. The fogs will erase the horrid image of society and temporary place the beauty of your thoughts in reality hence giving you a feeling of "the good life." 5:00 AM: I wasn't able to sleep all night. It was foggy outside. I sat by myself reading philosophy books and peaking out my window after reading a page. more...
7:00 AM: I started sipping on bitter wine, solving mathematical proofs, and smoking from my hookah while still waiting for the fogs to lift. 8:00 AM: I took a stroll outside of my quiet neighborhood. I think to myself, "What is the meaning of life." 8:01 AM: The fogs viciously collapse. I shut my eyes and cower down the floor in my state of fear. ??:?? AM/PM: I standing in the center at a beautiful trance concert held at some night club. By inspection, the night club was somewhere around 400 feet up in the starry sky surrounded by other buildings. The sound of trance music was very pleasant to the ears. I was surrounded by people in anime costumes and raving outfits. They were so nice. Life has gotten better. I started dancing in the fog of life! I was so amazed at the surroundings that I failed realize I was wearing a Dark Magician costume. Immediately after the realization my D... |

| 53. | Hermitting | ||
|
To live as a loner, by choice or not, despite the presence of other options; for spiritual reasons or other reasons; to spend time away from people to read, write, introspect, gain knowledge, learn about self, learn lessons from the past, learn about life. Sometimes it can be the result of a trauma or depression, too. "I've already spent a lot of time hermitting about you. Had a lot to learn from this poking and questioning, but I think I covered most of the You question now."
For example, when you get dumped by a loved one, you'll often question yourself for a long time about what happened that caused the failure. Sometimes when you really want answers, you'll tend to avoid noise and people. This is what I call "hermitting". This behaviour can get compared to that of a hermit, because the person rather spend time alone, to think, than with people having fun and socializing. Sometimes, after a major turn in life, hermitting can be a necessary phase of "digestion of events" before being able to move on. |

| 54. | Rhodes House | ||
|
The single greatest Inter-house collective within a College of Private establishment. Originally defined by the the British College house of Rhodes, the term of 'Rhodesian' now relates to any 'lad' who can 'take the banta' (those who can 'take the banta' know what is meant by that). One who is not a member of Rhodes cannot appreciate the true feeling of greatness to be a part of Rhodes House. Winners of House Singing Competitions, inventors of Fort Bounce and another famous Inter-room game that cannot be mentioned for fear of what the reaction may be, if you are a member of Rhodes House, you are part of the greatest long-lieing tradition of 'lads' ever to be formed. One who is not a 'Rhodesian' can never experience true fulfillment of life. Rhodes House for life.

| 55. | heartbreak | ||
|
The feeling you get after being betrayed by the one person you love more than anything else. You have put all your life in this person, and she left you in a terrible way, turning your entire life into an empty pointless void. Your chest constantly hurts, you are angry at the world, you force yourself to not think in fear of thinking about your lost love, and you want to section yourself off from society because you no longer have any tolerance for the mundane bullshit that makes up most of your time. You just want to be loved but you're less attractive because of your bleak, hostile personality. It is the worst feeling that you can experience, and the real tragedy is that, due to the greedy and deceiving human nature, it is quite common. Heartbreak can cause suicidal thoughts, and is a major cause of death. If you experience it, remember, it can be fixed. Do not give up hope. I got dumped for my best friend a few months ago. I'm still feeling the heartbreak. I have lost a few friends, and my life is a lot less interesting.

| 56. | man up | ||
|
4. It also means for a workplace, or corporation to deal with, take care of, and help those people that they have caused hurt, damage, and/or injury to. 5. It can also refer to respecting someone enough to go talk to them, apologize, do what's right when it is the right time to do so. 4. The opposite would be the company fighting you in court with expensive, fancy lawyers who's sole responsibility is to twist situations/blame and/or to lie for and protect the company or organization that harmed the person(s) sitting at the other side of the table, hurt for the rest of their life. When someone does this all for money; it's NOT manning up - it's the farthest thing from it. It's all about doing the right thing... and this is not it.
5. The boss had no idea who had dinged up the car door. But she went to her boss and told her boss that it was she that accidentally dinged up the new Porsche. She is admirable for (man up) her responsibility, and she gained a lot of credibility with her boss too. She asked for forgiveness, and all is fine & well now between them. I think it may have started a new friendship between them, just because she owned up (man up) to it. |
