| 2. | hardcore movie fan | ||
|
Hardcore movie fans as opposed to regular movie fans are extreme fans who watch a specific movie numerous times and love to discuss/debate the specifics of the storyline, characters etc. They are also less willing to accept changes/remakes/sequels to a particular movie unless they are of a similar high quality, since it is the high quality of the original/originals that made them a hardcore fan in the first place. hardcore movie fan - "My friend is a hardcore Star-wars fan. He is constantly discussing the plot details and has lost count of the number of times he's seen the original trilogy. He anxiously awaited the prequels, but was dissapointed at how they turned out.

| 3. | Inuyasha fan | ||
|
The comment about IY fans which says Inuyasha Fans only watch anime on adult swim... thats the biggest bullcap I ever seen in my freakin life. I watched for over 200 series of Anime , am Dutch (so I dont even have adult swim) & read over 100 manga series. I Love InuYasha because the Story is Historical, Interesting, Has great Characters (with good backgrounds) , I Love the action, The voice actors, & the Music. (Download Wind-Symphonic) Its wonderfull. It gets you hooked from the beginning. Sure the animation is not 100% and it does contain fillers. But if you see through that, & love the InuYasha series, for what It really is, (a wonderfull, loving, beautiful anime with a message) then you really are a real InuYasha fan. Dont Misjudge Every InuYasha fan. it makes you look stupid.

| 4. | Fan Fiction | ||
|
A piece of 'literature' written by a fan of a tv show, movie, series, anime, etc centered around the same or some of the same characters and possibly a similar plot. Fan fictions usually contain characters acting in a manner that they would never act like, dating people they would never date (including people not of their gender preference), getting with people that they would never get with, and so on. Many are never finished, are never editted, and are not worth reading. In sites such as fanfiction.net they are likely to contain yaio. "(reads) ...And so Itachi pressed Naruto... (wait is this fan fiction rated R? -goes to read another-) ...Kiari commed her haire in perfekt emostile..."

| 5. | Fan Fiction | ||
|
A fandom tool, which allows fans of books, tv shows, anime and the like to write about their favourite characters.
more...
Fan Fiction (shortened mostly to Fan Fics) is represented on many websites, the most dominant being Fanfiction.net and MediaMiner.org. In Fan Fiction, the writer can either create a story from where the series/episode/book left off (Cannon); create a new world for the same characters (Alternative Realtiy); or mix characters together from different fandoms (Crossover). Fan Fictions cover all genre, from romance, horror, comedy, to what is known as Hentai (japanese word, for stories of a sexually mature nature). The fan fiction world is full of a mixture of unreadable, badly written, good and excellent fiction; much like the music industry and its varrying degrees of music quailty. Some Fan Fiction authors employ betas, to edit their work for them. As an author myself, I can assert that fan fiction is a fun way of carrying on a much loved and ended fandom. It is a way to improve one's writing, as most websites have the facility to recieve instant reviews and so allows the author to gain Constructive Criticism. (On the downside, some readers 'Flame' work they disagree or don't like.) It also allows those who are not inclined to write to read about their fandoms and keep the memories of their favourite characters alive. |

| 6. | Sonic Porn | ||
|
1.)Possibly the worst thing ever created by the fans of the Sonic the Hedgehog series. This is extremely hated by many of the fans. All logic is thrown out the door when it comes to this. Forced love relation ships between characters that normally would not have any interaction with each other are highly seen here. Often they will often insert there own fan characters in them to satisfy there own fantasy. Do us all a favor and stop making these please. 2.) Furry porn of Sonic characters. Guy: Dude, check out this awesome Sonic porn I drew.
Me: WTF!? What's wrong with you man!? |

| 7. | Proper-Fan | ||
|
Proper-Fans are the ideal kind of fan. They have their fandoms, and they deserve them. A Proper-Fan knows ample info about his fandom, and takes it seriously-but not too seriously. Proper-Fans can be created at any point in a fandoms history. For instance, a Lord of the Rings Proper-Fan can be created after he watches the movies, if he then proceeds to read the books, etc, and remained a fan after the hype died down. Proper-Fans handle remakes of their fandom relatively well, provided it doesn't completely destroy their beloved characters. Beth became a Casual-Fan of Transformers after seeing the 2007 movie, and a Proper-Fan after the 2009. She researched the fandom, quickly latching onto Transformers G1. She bought the series, has the merchandise, and gets extremely irritated with the Psuedo-Fans who flaunt their wannabe-ism and really don't know what the heck they're talking about.
