when a fake status is published on facebook to create an idea to the online community that you're doing something that you're actually not.
it's typically used to further and backup a lie told to a parent/significant other/ friend or even enemy. i need to update a fakebook status so my mom
doesn't catch me at this party. My girlfriend thinks I'm with my grandma so i posted a fakebook status to confirm it.. I hope she doesn't find out I'm really getting her a surprise bday present. |
