They might be shopping at areopostale one day, which they call the "prep store." because poseurs highly listen to stereotypes, but they next day they'll be buying everything at hot topic and buying Converse and then writing on them to be cool.
They often mimic the girls at school who are popular in their cliques and have boyfriends with side parted long hair. So they ditch their old clothes and take notes of what they wear and go to hot topic to buy them I.E. :Yeah i saw a stidded belt on her mypace, so i'm going to go buy one!" Then they buy a pyramid belt because their posuers. or, say their little poseur idols wear headbands but don't even use them to hold their hair back, they rush to claires to buy tons of lime green and black ones. But they on't tell anyone where they got them at, because they also think claire's is a 'prep store.'

they use anything as an axcuse to be emo. I.e. They get a rude comment on myspace and say "i think i'm going to be emo." even though they think emo means tight pants and a razor, with band tee's.

Poseurs call other people posuers, but they spell it "poser." Although the people that tell them this are either not popular, so they don't care, or 2, they were their little idols they mimiced so they tell everyone hlow mean they were to them, so they can act emo, and make themselves be better then them. When you create a myspace or any alike profile based on someone who is not you. Most commonly used to get people to add you who normally would want nothing to do with you.

One of the MOST ANNOYING messages you will come across on the social networking community Myspace.

What it means is that that particular user has chosen to make the pictures in their photo page only available to friends, or sometimes nobody at all.

These people may have a myriad of reasons to justify hiding their photos, which include:

Shyness (rather stupid, since you put yourself on the web in the first place - why not show all?)

To repel pervs - understandable, since there are certainly a lot out there. Not all hot 19 year-old chicks on myspace want some icky 40-year old fat guy masturbating to their photos.

To prevent "fakes" - for some strange reason, certain losers love to steal people's pictures, and make a fake profile using those pictures. The motives for this are lost on me. Maybe these losers get off on how many views their fake profile gets??

To prevent picture theft and editing - again, people sometimes steal the pictures, and then photoshop them in various ways. I don't understand why.

And the final reason - just to be annoying.

1. An individual who has shaved his head in an attempt to appear hard or thuggish. Because the individual has shaved his head so recently, the flesh on the head appears to be pink. The term is typically used to describe those who fit the wankster profile.

2. A Los Angeles-based frozen yogurt chain. Extremely popular amongst the hipster crowd.

Creating a profile that is not you, with a fake name and details, possibly for the reason to spy on someone you don't want to know is you

A Nichelle is usually a female who has low self-esteem and resorts to stealing other females' images on Myspace to create a completely new identity on Myspace for themselves. Generally almost 30 years of age, this person will pass herself off as much younger as the stolen pictures usually suggest. The images they steal are of females that are usually way better looking than they are so they will try to make up stories for them that are usually degrading (i.e. telling someone that they have sex for money). A Nichelle will sometimes use the stolen images to try and mimic their victim (i.e. use the same name as the person they stole the images from, or same occupation, etc.). A Nichelle will keep her profile 'private' so that not everyone can see her page, only the selected few who actually believes that they are conversing with the female in the pictures.
