The practice of purposely seeking out things that you know will only hurt you, such as your ex's facebook page. Often used as a painful and unfortunately effective procrastination technique. I have a huge paper due tomorrow, but I can't stop reading all the sweet nothings my ex-boyfriend's new girlfriend writes on his wall. I need to stop emotional cutting.
