An extremely sad state of mind, in which one mentally retracts oneself into a confined state of mind, tending to be quite emotional.

Emocore 

The older harder version of emo. Emocore was what emo was called in the mid '80s when it was first started. Rites Of Spring was the first emocore band, but not many people knew about them. One of the members of Rites Of Spring joined Fugazi when it first started. Ian Mackaye, who was also the inventor of Straight Edge, wanted to copy ROS's style, but make it more like hardcore so that more people agreed with it. After them came Jawbreaker, who widened emocore's by going more into modern and indie rock. Sunny Day Real Estate, who came out at around the same time as Jawbreaker, did the same.

Emocore bands are: Alexisonfire, Underoath, Saosin, A Static Lullaby, The Bled, Dead Poetic, From Autumn To Ashes, Engine Down, Thursday, Finch, Dismissed, Matchbook Romance, Earth Crisis, Snapcase and Boysetsfire.

Emocone 

D1: A lonely, Emo pinecone that is at least five feet away from any other pinecones.
D2: Also an exclamation used to break awkward slences, ending in a small fit of maniacal laughter (usually by the same person who screamed it)

D1: HEY!!! Look at all those Emocones!
D2: *awkward silence when hanging out with one's friends*

Cool Person: EMOCONE!!!
Friend: What the hell?!
Cool Person: HAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!
*dies from insane laughter while a large amount of blood flows from their mouth*

Emo Corner 

A corner where people can sit when in a highly emotional state (Shortened to "emo") Most often alone but sometimes other highly emotional people who are feeling the same may join them. People in their "emo corner" sit quietly staring at the intersections of two walls A.k.a. the corner.

Jim: Hey Bob whats with Tom over in the corner?...
Bob: Having a rough time I presume...
Jim: Well why is he in the corner?
Bob: Its his "Emo corner"
