Elvis Aaron Presley, in the humblest of circumstances, was born to Vernon and Gladys Presley on January 8, 1935. The king of rock and roll! He was an American singer who had an effect on world culture rivaled only by The Beatles and Chuck Berry.

A legendary singer. This man was one of the most important forces in all of rock and roll history. Did he invent rock and roll? No, of course not. But he did revolutionize it. To people that say his music in the '50s was "watered down blues and rock and roll", maybe you should get your head checked because you couldn't be any more wrong. He invented his own original sound (he had an enormous hand in creating the rockabilly genre), based off of other artist's songs. Does this make him less talented? No, because while artists who write their own music and lyrics are great (The Beatles being a good example), Elvis had soul, an unbelievable voice, and an incredible energy. Of course, he was drafted in '58, and came back in 1960, and cut a stupendous album, "Elvis Is Back", before starting his '60s movie career that would basically destroy his career. He made some good songs in the '60s, but they were overshadowed by the seemingly infinite amounts of mediocre movies and their equally lackluster soundtrack LPs. The fact that The Beatles had practically taken over the music world at this time didn't help, either. In 1968, everything changed. A great entertainer who glorrified black music. He caused tyrades with women fans with the gyration of his hips (which were band from showing from the waste down on 50's tv due to its sexual conotations).

He starred in several movies and had one daugther.

Elvis's career declined in the 1960's as British rock took the scene. He did have a comeback attempt in 1968. During his later years he indulged in sex, drugs, more drugs, and banana and peanut butter sandwiches. His weight blew up to over 300.

He was rumored to wear more cologne no matter how much he smelled bad.

In August of 1977, he was found by his staff face down in the bathroom with a large amount of fecal matter potruding from his buttocks. The feces was broken away and he was turned over and administered CPR. He was pronounced dead 2 hours later.

He did not die of defecide (Dying while defecating) but yet by a massive heart attack induced by an impacted constipated colon filled with dozens of prescription drugs and fatty foods.

His home has been turned into a museum attracting some 40 million people annually.

A great man who was never tempted in the same way as jacko. He is undisputed king of Rock 'n' Roll. Basically holds all the records in music and is still number 1 in UK charts to this day.

Only bad point is that he was American.
