Ebonics is really the study of the rules applied to turn English into some uneducated sounding pseudo-language whose purpose is for the most part to insult and denigrate "Whitey." Here is what I learned in Ebonics 1 :
i) In any English word with a contraction, eliminate the apostrophe and any letters after it.
1) Is it alright if I rollerskate through the campus ?
English) Yes, it's alright
Ebonics) It OK
ii) In a word ending in "d," substitute "dt" or "oodt."
English) That's all very fine...
Ebonics) That all reeeal gooudt....
iii) In a word ending in "ore," eliminate everything after the first "o" and add an apostrophe.
English) I won't tell you again, please shut the door.
Ebonics) I ain tellin you no mo', shet de do' !!
iv) For suffixes with 2 identical consonants followed by "er," eliminate the "er."
English) That Negro was larger and was holding a pistol.
Ebonics) Mah nigga was bigga had his fingah on yo' trigga.
v) In general, most "er"s are dropped and replaced by "ah."
English) Tower of Power
Ebonics) Towah of Powah
vi) However, in the case of a plural, "ers" is replaced by "az."
English) Negroes
Ebonics) niggaz
Now, a brief poem :
They go my niggaz all up in da hooudt,
Niggaz be pimpin' just like dey shooudt,
Leroy drive his Caddy right into a dee-itch
'Cause his punk-ass homey is too much of a bee-itch
Sistah on the pipe she hit on da stem
Homeboy got his ass in jail ageein'
Got me a supakool layin' in da free-idge
Niggaz be flyin' high off'n da bree-idge
Sambo fucked up, he high on dat sherm
Bustin up a cap hey cuz got de germ

So you get the general idea...

Ebonics - Plural noun (treated as singular), Blend of Ebony and Phonics.

The African-American dialect of Standard English, there are different dialects within Ebonics itself. Similar to how the American dialect of English has dialects within itself such as the Texan dialect and the Boston dialect.

Ebonics is a dialect of Standard English just as American, Canadian, Scottish, Irish, Australian ect. forms of English are all dialects of Standard English. It is usually spoken by African-Americans who are the decedents of Black slaves from West Africa and the Caribbean.
Ebonics was born from the fact that African-American slaves were not allowed to learn how to read or write during their lives. Without proper instruction from their English speaking "masters" slaves were forced to learn English with the only language rules they knew from their native languages. Ebonics are usually seen as a form of "broken English" as a result. However they bear a resemblance to Scottish speakers of English.

The Scottish people who used to speak Gaelic had English forced upon them by the English as well during conquest and enslavement. However proper instruction was not given in the language and its rules and as a result the Scottish dialect of English is different than Standard English.

Both Scottish English, and African-American English (Ebonics) are dialects of Standard English. However, certain people have tried to claim that Ebonics is a separate language in it's own right while choosing to ignore basic definitions of language and other examples of similar cases. If Ebonics is indeed a separate language than the Scottish dialect of English, and many other dialects of English will also be different languages. The people who are trying to establish Ebonics as a separate language are simply trying to segregate African-Americans dialects as well as their culture from American culture and not allowing it to be included in Euro-American culture.

Ebonics is a term that was originally intended to refer to the language of all people descended from enslaved Black Africans, particularly in West Africa, the Caribbean, and North America. Over time, and especially since 1996, it has been used more often to refer to African American Vernacular English (distinctively nonstandard Black United States English), asserting the independence of this from (standard) English. The term became widely known in the U.S. in 1996 due to a controversy over its use by the Oakland School Board.

What is claimed to be the initial mention of "Ebonics" was made by the psychologist1 Robert Williams in a discussion with linguist Ernie Smith (as well as other language scholars and researchers) that took place in a conference on "Cognitive and Language Development of the Black Child", held in St. Louis, Missouri, in 1973.23 In 1975, the term appeared within the title and text of a book edited and co-written by Williams, Ebonics: The True Language of Black Folks. Williams there explains it
"While it is clear that the previous definitions were written by racist white people who are VERY ignorant and unlearned, I just thought a black girl like myself could elaborate and give the TRUE meaning of the word". White people still fear what they don't understand and instead of trying to learn, the retaliate with their ignorance. So who is really the more inferior race? You tan in order to be darker, your women love to attach themselves to our men. Your men LOVE our curves, and your teenagers idolize our music, clothing, and our language. SO SAD!!! And get over the fact that the PRESIDENT IS BLACK!!!!EBONICS!

A lame excuse in a pathetic attempt to explain away the fact that black students don't do as well in academics as Caucasian students. It was actually proposed in Oakland California that black students be taught in ebonics. In an absurd attempt to raise black students test scores.
UNBELIEVABLE!!!
once i's wus thougt of as stoopid and un able to comunicat naw tanks to dis new ebonics i's iz bi-ling-u-al
by Rapsucks1738 July 11, 2006
Originally invented by academics trying to create pride in the distinctive speech dialect of African-Americans, this word is now mainly used by ignorant white bigots to attack blacks, who they think are stupid, lazy, and unjustly supported by the welfare state.
