They are also heavily into illegal street racing, and chop shops. They are famous for their street tuner cars, usually in one of their three gang colors. In 1993 they tried a new slogan… "Lynn, Lynn, City of Firsts!" Unfortunately Lynn wasn’t really the “first” to do much of anything. In fact one of the things claimed to have happened “first” in Lynn later was proved to be wrong. It was long believed in this city that Lynn had held the first baseball game under artificial light. It turns out that distinction goes to Ft. Wayne, Indiana One distinction Lynn does have for being the “first” is in October, 1942 the General Electric Company (G.E.) successfully built two jet engines which were used to power an aircraft, the Bell XP-59A Airacomet, thus launching the United States into the Jet Age! Youth gangs have lately taken a strong hold on the city and it’s becoming as bad as anywhere on the west coast. Many people who can afford to leave have done so. The economy is currently so bad that every teacher in the city voted to work a day without pay so layoffs would not be immediately necessary. One project they have recently finished has become a huge success and does some good every day it exists. They recently demolished and rebuilt a football stadium.
