the practice of preventing a driver from safely merging onto a freeway or other high-speed roadway. this is accomplished by the blocking car driving at the same speed as the merging car, and directly slongside. this action usually causes the merging driver to back off and merge behind the blocker; sometimes, though, the two cars collide because neither one gives way. often associated with NASCAR fans on public roads, on-ramp blocking is also common in major metropolitan areas.

Trying to box one of your team mates into other cars (on crowded freeway) so that they can't pass your car.

any cluster of motor vehicles on a roadway created by the presence of a police, sheriff, or state trooper patrol car. Trooper groups are created as faster traffic comes upon a slower patrol car or motorists slow down in response to seeing a patrol car in the rear view mirror. Behavior is analogous to a school of fish when a shark is nearby. Trooper groups will likely include beltway bitches and freeway fags.
