225. AP Student
a generally nerdy person, except for the few in the class that are kickass individuals. they spend most of their time copying outlines from the book website or e-mailing their friends to say FUCK I HATE THISS or generally to pass on some good ids. they do not read the chapter until the night before the test. for the final ap test, they like to alternate between freak out mode for which they are famous for among their non-ap friends and the standard "i dont even care" which makes them feel better about their 2 hours spent studying. their palms sweat before their test and afterwards they share a jumping highfive and then get drunk for the first time of their life from pure excitement. this is what goes down for an ap student.
"i am an ap student"

"wow u only get drunk to celebrate the end of ap test"

"affirmative"

or

"mom she started it"

"no germany started it when they invaded poland"

Stands for "Not Even Doom Music". Apparently, A YTMND was created which featured a rather brutal act of animal cruelty - a .gif of a kitten being placed in a cage, doused with gasoline, and then lit on fire. A YTMND regular, 'Spotz', approved of the site enough to give it 5 stars due to its usage of music from "Doom". Another user, 'titanium-gecko', appalled that anyone would upvote such brutality, proceeded to give 1-star votes to all the sites of those who did. When confronted by Spotz, who stated his reasoning was simply for the featured music, his reply, posted on one of Spotz's sites, was as follows: "Okay Spotz. Since you do not "condone" burning kitten your sites have been 3'D until further notice. Still... nothing justifies 5'ing burning kittens. Not even Doom music." The acronym that this comment produced has since spiraled into an uncontrollable fad which is an amalgam of those who understand the origin and an ever increasing group who have no idea what it means, or do but do not find the fad justified. They have made sites featuring the acronym, elements from past sites (i.e. chapstick, a cat; live, dead, burned or otherwise), completely unrelated elements (scenes from the show 'Lost') or even other fads, mostly to either express their displeasure or to jump on the bandwagon. Some simply like the loop of the Coburn song (from the original site, "http://nedm.ytmnd.com/") which has become the unofficial soundtrack, and desire the full track.

227. Confessions of a Video Vixen
Controversial book written by Superhead, aka Karrine Steffans, noted dick-sucker and video-ho. Alot of rappers are mad, because she talks about how she gave them head and they don't want thier wives to find out. She keeps the identity of only one of the many rappers she sucked-up secret, she refers to him as "Papa" in the book. Many people are wondering who "Papa"is.
Book enthusiast 1: "Have you read 'Confessions of a Video Vixen' Yet?"
Book enthusiast 2: "Yes, I finally broke down and got it cuz it was on sale! I had to go take a shower after I read it, though! What a nasty slut!"

The Best rap group ever, consisting of Ryebread, Pinan, Antimatter-Bonecrusher and D.J Mar Mar. Mar Mar drops sick beats while these cats twist tonges on intellectual subjects and create wicked rhymes.
"I can't stay within the lines or even hold a crayon right; pay no mind to road signs running every red light; you get frightened by wilderness, me I find it soothing; A man of improv stuck in a giant movie; My thumb is down, I get no substance from this town; somebody's givin them strings and they're all puppets now; Some get clowned because they're different; individualians pinned by this lame game syndicate; I'm into this thing called reality; where virtually every person on this earth baffles me; had the key to success snapped it off in the door knob; I'm happy in this mess and no I don't need your job; I break laws peacefully lots of beautiful nights; just to hear the man read my constitutional rights; roll the dice hope to find excitement in this board game; here's my 2 cents, maybe you can afford change. -Melodic Scribes (intro to "Society")\

The 10 reasons that Apple must think is imperative for making the change from a PC to a MAC can be found on their website. Of course if you have the time to read through all of them you realise that these 10 features or reasons have been standard with the PC a long, long, long time. Some of the reasons are just plain myths that Apple invented. Probably because they ran out of fabricated facts.

So take the journey through the 10 commandments of a mac-enthusiast and enjoy their naive attitude towards personal computing.

1. The Mac... It just works

This is maybe the ultimate reason a mac owner will give you to explain why it's superior to a PC. The mac owner will tell you that all people that own macs are really satisfied with their computers and would never switch back. This is ofcourse not true.
The mac owner will also tell you that with a system from Apple you will never have to think about drivers, upgrades or anything. A mac is perfection itself when delivered. Atleast according to their standard. Many macs can't even be upgraded. So what you buy is what you get. Expect your system to be outdated within 1-2 years.
Apple also states: "Only with a Mac do you get an operating system built by the same people who built the computer it runs on.". Actually Apple's Mac OS X (the operating system) is not based on their own technology, but by the technology of freeBSD. Apple's own capabilities in form of creating an operating system have been demonstrated in previous ve...

Well, after being buzzed on my extra-large Tim Horton's coffee and not being able to sleep, I read the entry for "Canada" on UD. From what I can see here, it looks like the Canadians on here got bored around post 175... Because from there on, its just Canada-bashers repeating the exact same thing that the people before posted. Wow - the intelligence never ceases to amaze. Just as well, there are a few issues I'd like to clear up:

1) Canadians are not under-educated. Thankfully, our colleges and universities (which, by the way, are completely different things) are publicly-funded, with generally fixed tuition fees (in Ontario, around $4500 a year). This allows post-secondary education to be much more accessible here than in America. Compare this with getting a comparable education at an American university (lets say... Cornell, where my dad went.). Tuition at Cornell is $18,000/year at a public-college and $32,000/year at a private-college. In addition, our secondary school system is built on a common ground - so that it doesn't matter what high school you go to, you will be just as well prepared for university (hence us not needing to take an admission test, such as the SATs, in order to gain entrance into university).

2) Yes, it is true. Our health-care system is not perfect. Nor are we claiming that it is perfectly "free". Believe me, we are well aware that we are taxed for our health-care. However, it is universal. By this, I mean that every citizen h...
