In the sport of Disc Golf, any putt that hits the top band. On yellow banded baskets this action produces a loud "Eeeeeee" sound which is followed by the crowd going "Awwwww". Originated in Gulley Park, Arkansas. This led to a betting game (side bet) in which players keep track of "donkeys". The first person to hit the band with a putt gets a "d", the next to hit the band hits the "o" and so on until donkey is spelled...then..every "donkey" after that pays! You hit a "donkey" and you pay everyone on your card. "Nice donkey, pay up sucka."
