A militant religious ideology that seeks to replace democracy with a theocracy by instituting and governing, either through change of current law or by force, their interpretation of "biblical law."

2.
1. A term used to describe the tendency among some politically active conservative Christians to seek influence or control over secular civil government through political action, especially in the United States, with the goal of either a nation governed by Christians, or a nation governed by a conservative Christian understanding of biblical law.

2. In short, the term refers to Christian religious supremacism.

3. A supporter of a distinctly Christian theocratic dictatorship.

3.
Also a movement in the United States Military, especially in the US Air Force; whose goal is to establish the supremacy of Militant Fundamentalist Christianity in the Armed Forces. Not only do these types exist in civilian life, but they seek to turn are military into a Crusader Force from the inside. This end-product "Crusader Force would then be used to suppress "the heathens" in all places both foreign and domestic. Younger officers and enlisted are the most susceptible to the coercion of this movement.

Most of them also classify any Christian who does not subscribe to all of their beliefs as "heathens" as well. They never heard of Freedom of Religion, and seek to replace democracy with theocracy. The author finds it strange that their favorite image is that of a Christian Knight and Crusader; who in real life/time/setting would have been a Roman Catholic (a faith that most Dominionists despise). Politicians who support social conservative causes are often at least covertly sympathetic to these types.
The goal of Dominionism is first a Middle East Crusade, and then conquest of the world.
