In general, the democrats are considered more liberal/left wing and the republicans more conservative/right wing. Although this is correct on average, individual differences in general are larger than party differences and thus individual democrats can easily end up on the right of individual republicans. Most senators voted in favour of the proposal, with 15 Republicans and 5 Democrats voting against or abstaining.

For example, many moderate liberals find themselves alienated by the extreme liberals' insistence on political correctness and intolerance to religion. As one party in the two-party system in America, they are half of the problem. -The people who got us into a war that we lost (Vietnam), and it took a Republican (Richard Nixon) to get us out of it. -Large group that obsesses on political correctness and not offending anybody (unless those people are Republicans, of course.) -Are represented by an ass/donkey; they tend to imitate their party symbol very well. -Despite the fact that many worry about offending other races, a great majority of them are actually more bigoted and prejudice than you could possibly imagine. Many radio show hosts and others have made racist comments and remarks about Condoleeza Rice, for starters. -A group that desires to destroy the already-threadbare "Moral Fabric of Society", and therefore the beliefs and values that this Nation was founded upon. -People who wish to raise taxes to a very high rate in order to fund frivilous programs that only benefit certain groups. Those Democrats are still determined to destroy our Nation and what we stand for; I just hope we can defeat them once more when 2008 inevitably rolls around.

Think that when someone does something it won't take money, but think that when the don't do anything that's ok as long as they make money. 1.
