The origins of the Albanian people:more...
Data drawn from history and from linguistic, archaeological, and anthropological studies have led to the conclusion that Albanians are the direct descendants of the ancient Illyrians and that the latter were natives of the lands they inhabited. Similarly, the Albanian language derives from the language of the Illyrians, the transition from Illyrian to Albanian apparently occurring between the 4th and 6th centuries AD.
Illyrian culture is believed to have evolved from the Stone Age and to have manifested itself in the territory of Albania toward the beginning of the Bronze Age, about 2000 BC. The Illyrians were not a uniform body of people but a conglomeration of many tribes that inhabited the western part of the Balkans, from what is now Slovenia in the northwest to (and including) the region of Epirus, which extends about halfway down the mainland of modern Greece. In general, Illyrians in the highlands of Albania were more isolated than those in the lowlands, and their culture evolved more slowly—a distinction that persisted throughout Albania's history.
Authors of antiquity relate that the Illyrians were a sociable and hospitable people, renowned for their daring and bravery at war. Illyrian women were fairly equal in status to the men, even to the point of becoming heads of tribal federations. In matters of religion, Illyrians were pagans who believed in an afterlife and buried their dead along with arms and various articles inte...
RFO - Right F****ING ONmore...
Has been described as a "Wall of Sound" by some, the heaviest band ever by most. Band mates Jerry Murdock, Jamie Johnson, and Steve "sticks" Dickson poured their heart and soul into this band from it's birth in 1989 until it's death in 1996. The Power Trio hails from the Metal mecca of the Golden Horseshoe, Hamilton Ontario . Their music is heavily influenced by the likes of Jesus and Mary Chain, Stompin' Tom Connors, Rappin' Granny' , and LiL' Bow Wow. With albums like " Mud Shark",double album "one in the bum , one in the yap" ,"Upper Decker","kit kat" and their B-Side collection "air tight", the band was on track for greatness. Opening for Pantera in Toronto-1994, playing the Reading Festival, and Performing on Saturday Night Live later that year gave RFO a quick rise to fame and fortune.
The line up did have one addition over the years. Dave Fritz ( of "Wact" fame) joined the band in June 1994 as a double bass player. Dave was fired from the band in September1994 after refusing to shave his trade mark moustache.
Multiple Juno nominee, RFO turned it's talents to the big screen with it's groundbreaking rockumentary " Some Kind of Monster" This and their last studio record titled " Nevermind " changed music forever.
RFO's songs have charted on Canadian radio and have been featured in several television series including the Canadian cult classic "Degrassi: The Next Generation".
After the Band Jerry did have some success in his next proje...
Slippery, pernicious material frequently found in bathtub and shower areas. Hazardous and unsanitary substance common to the interior of tubs and other bathing facilities. Good housekeeping is the most effective intervention strategy.
NOTE: 1) Bathtub accidents are a popular form of "accidental" death in the American cinema. 2) Falls are the 2nd most common cause of accidental death in the US.
"Accidents in the bathtub and shower area can be defined as a complex, time dependent system of components interacting simultaneously and sequentially to produce injury."
"The slipperiness of most bathtub surfaces constitutes the chief hazard... Bathtubs far exceed shower stall in accident potential."(*Findings FROM: "A Systematic Program to Reduce the Incidence and Severity of Bathtub and Shower Area Injuries, FINAL REPORT June 4,1975")

(noun) -- (definition 1) a man who has a belly diameter equal to or greater that one half his overall height, thereby possibly making him a high-risk candidate for coronary artery disease, coronary thrombus or perhaps even sudden cardiac death.
(noun) -- (definition 2) the belly of such a person as described in definition 1 of this word.
(So named after the sudden, cardiac death of reknown U.S. journalist Tim Russert on 13 june, 2008. R.I.P. )
When I heard about extreme belly fat being a factor in "sudden cardiac death", I measured my body's lattitude at my belly button. I'm probably not eight feet tall. Therefore, it would behoove me to exercise, eat less junk food and get rid of this Russert potato!

Chris benoit was one of the greatest wrestlers in WWE history. He was a quiet guy, yet had great mic. skills. He competed in a triple threat match with triple h and shawn michaels at wrestlemania 20, where he finally won the championship belt. It is considered one of the best wrestlemanias WWE has ever had. I will always remember him for his talent, determination and skill. Chris benoit, his wife nancy and son daniel were found dead on june 25, 2007. It was officially ruled a double murder-suicide. When I remember chris, I choose to remember him as a good guy and a great entertainer. I will never understand why things went down this way and why he chose this but I will also never be able to hate him, based on the amount of brain damage he had.
Chris benoit lives on in my memories. Whenever I watch his tributes, it makes me cry:
I miss seeing him compete. May chris benoit, daniel benoit and nancy benoit R.I.P
