Apparently still fair game as the butt for humor according to many UrbanDictionary daffynitions, as well as popular culture in general. At least as recently as 2000, movie-makers created an entire comedy around the concept of a disability by producing Me, Myself & Irene.
Duh-weebs in the cinema industry rewarded them by showing it on their screens. More duh-weebs rewarded both the movie-makers and the cinemas by paying to see it, and a couple of the more hard-core cases actually enjoyed watching it. |
